Overview: Fun and Active Nanny / House Manager needed for family of 7 in Brentwood.
Recently relocated from Northern California, this relaxed and casual couple is looking for an extra pair of hands to keep their kiddos on track and their house running smoothly.
For their careers, Dad is CEO of a Biotech Company with about 3000 employees who are working on curing cancer. His position requires frequent travel, and when not on the road, he works from a designated home office. Mom has worked as a teacher and on clinical trials for a Medical Company, before taking on the role of Stay at Home Mom after the birth of the couple's second child.
Together, the couple has 5 beautiful children:
Their oldest (B13) is 13 years old and in the 8th grade. He is a smart and sweet kid who get's straight A's and works hard at school. He is currently involved in middle school sports, and also plays guitar. He is a great big brother who is very responsible and does a good job babysitting his younger siblings.
Next in line is (G10) the family's oldest daughter who is 10 years old and in the 5th grade. She is very outgoing and friendly, and makes friends everywhere. She loves dance and anything girly, but also loves cooking and playing basketball.
Their middle boy (B8) is 8 years old and in 2nd grade. (B8) is a very smart little guy, who loves sports and is a good athlete - keeping a pretty packed schedule doing various sports and activities. He has a sweet competitive spirit - even at board games - and is always looking for the win!
Their baby girl (G5) is 5 years old and in Kindergarten, and still considered the baby of the family. She likes playing dolls and dress up, but is also active and always trying to keep up with the bigger kids.
The youngest (B6mos) is 6 months old, and with 4 older siblings, thankfully a calm and easy going baby boy.
The 4 oldest children are in school full time. (B6mos) is home full time.
Currently there are no pets in the home.
The family's ideal candidate is trustworthy, energetic, eager, smart and fun. Someone who can be flexible with scheduling, and who is looking for a job with growth potential. Understanding there are 5 children, ages 13 and under, candidates who have experience with children infant to school age are preferred. A nanny will need to be comfortable in a role working alongside Mom, as Mom will be present for all or part of most days. Also, managing the calendars of 5 busy children will require Mom to split care and driving between herself and a nanny, so the family is looking for candidates who are team players, have a can-do spirit, and who are willing to pitch in wherever needed.
Understanding that driving is an important part of the job description, candidates with experience transporting children and who have a clean driving record are a must. Also, the children love spending time in the pool, so candidates who are good swimmers and experienced with water safety are preferred.
This is a hybrid Nanny / House Manager position, so a caregiver who has experience and is comfortable with both roles is ideal, as each day will look a little different than the next.

Overview of a nanny's typical day:
Early days: (7 AM - 2/3 PM)
- Nanny arrives around 7 am
- Nanny helps get the children ready for the day and makes breakfast
- Nanny helps get the children out the door to the bus
- While kids are in school, nanny helps with light pick up and household chores or babysits baby for 1-2 hours
- Mid day Nanny will help with House Management
- 2 or 3 pm - End of Day
Late days: (11 AM - 6/7 PM)
- Nanny arrive around 11 AM
- Nanny helps with light pick up and household chores and tasks then House Management
- Afternoon and early evening driving - picking up or dropping off kids to activities; Homework Assistance
- 6 or 7 pm - End of Day
House Management responsibilities can include:
- buy groceries
- organize cupboards/pantry/fridge
- scheduling appointments - doctors, etc
- light pick up, vacuum, cleaning, dishes (no scrubbing or deep cleaning)
- laundry
- running errands
- taking car to car wash
- taking kids for haircuts
- booking and helping plan vacations
- possible airport pick up/drop off
- restaurant reservations
- tennis court booking
- paying some bills
- vendor management
- follow up with tenants/issues at various rental properties (possibly in future)
Family strongly prefers, but does not 100% require, candidates to have received the Covid Vaccine and Flu Shot.
$30 - $35 per hour
Overtime paid for all hours worked over 40

ASAP - The family would like a nanny in place As Soon As Possible, but they are patient and can wait for the right person.
