Overview: Loving and proactive Full Time nanny needed for family of 4 in Nashville.

Mom and Dad are both originally from Jackson, MS. After spending the last 6 years in Rochester, New York, they have recently relocated to Nashville for their work and to be closer to family. For their careers - Mom and Dad both work at Vanderbilt as Physicians. Most weekdays are spent at the hospital, but typically they have 1 day a week where they work from home in designated work spaces.

When not working this fun and adventurous couple enjoys traveling, reading new books, and outdoor fun like bicycling and kayaking.

Together the couple has 2 children: their son, (B3) who will be 3 in December and their newest addition, a sweet baby girl, (GNB) born in late July.

Their oldest (B3) is a little guy with a big heart and lots of love, and is the first grandchild on both sides of the family. He is a rather resilient toddler who adjusts quickly to new people and new schedules. He is currently obsessed with dinosaurs, cars, and the solar system. He enjoys going to the park, but is more comfortable looking at birds and animals than he is going down slides. (B3) is enrolled at a nearby day school 5 days a week, but typically only attends 2 to 3 days a week. (B3) will be home on the days he is not in school.

Their youngest (GNB) arrived in late July and is already stolen everyone's heart. (GNB) will be home full time.

Currently there are no pets in the home.

This family's ethos are centered around commitment to each other, pursuit of education, and prioritizing health. They want to instill a love of learning in their children, while always making sure to have fun along the way. They eat mostly home cooked meals, and have at least breakfast and dinner together daily. And with 2 small children now, there is certainly a built in schedule to follow, but Mom and Dad avoid being overly strict about that.

The family's ideal candidate is loving and kind, reliable, focused and creative. Someone experienced with infants, who will take great care of their sweet little girl, keep her on schedule, and help her grow and develop. Given that (GNB) with be less than 2 months old at the start of this position, candidates with recent infant experience are preferred.

Also, because a nanny will have both children at least part of the week, candidates who have experience and are comfortable nannying more than 1 child at a time are a plus.

Overview of nanny's typical day:

Nanny arrives 7:30 most days (7-9 may be a possible range).

On days that (B3) goes to school:
Nanny will help (B3) get ready for school and walk/drive him to campus (a 5 minute walk), or nanny will take care of (GNB) while parents take (B3) to school.
Nanny will then care for (GNB) - daily routine will be bottle feeding, safe sleeping, and age appropriate play. While (GNB) sleeps, the family would like a nanny to tidy the kitchen and play areas, and help with the children's laundry.

On days that (B3) is home:
The routine will include care for (GNB) and also be toddler focused: preparing and helping with eating, educational time, play time, and then nap time in the morning.

End of day can vary but will be no later than 5pm, depending on the parent's schedule.

Family 100% requires candidates to have an up to date TDap and Flu Shot. Family does not require candidates to have received the Covid vaccine.
