Overview: Fun and Active Nanny / House Manager needed for busy family in Nashville.

Dad is a very busy Surgeon who has shared custody of his 3 children, ages 9, 7 and 5, and has his kiddos one week on and one week off.

His oldest is (G9) who views herself as a bit of a caretaker for the boys. (G9) is very independent and likes to be given tasks she can accomplish. She loves to help, especially with cooking and meal prep. She really enjoys riding her bike, playing basketball and participating in playing sporting activities with her brothers, such as soccer and baseball. She loves art activities, including drawing, painting, and creating projects. She wishes she had a sister to play with and do some more girl oriented activities. When it comes to food, she is adventurous and the least picky.

Next in line is (B7) - a little guy that loves very deeply. He very much wants to be first in all things. (B7) feels his emotions externally, and can sometimes require some additional time to work through them. He can be demonstrative in his emotional expression, which can require patience and thoughtfulness to manage. He is a rule follower and expects that others follow them as well. He loves soccer, baseball, and wrestling. He loves assembling LEGOs. (B7) is possibly the most picky eater, however, he is becoming more open to trying foods.

The youngest (B5) is very free spirited and in a lot of ways seems to have no fear. He loves imaginative play with his monster trucks, cars, sharks, and dinosaurs. He loves baseball - it consumes most of his outdoor play, whether it is hitting, throwing, catching or any combination. He is becoming more self-sufficient with getting dressed, and picking up/putting away. He has his "favorite" foods but overall does well with eating and trying foods. He does not however like for his foods to touch each other!

All 3 children are in school full time.

Currently there are no pets in the home, but Dad says they may get a dog in the future.

The family's ideal candidate is caring and compassionate, hard working, and patient with children. Someone who can be flexible with scheduling, and who is able to cover additional hours if needed, even on short notice. Understanding that driving is an important part of the job description, candidates with experience transporting children and who have a clean driving record are a must.

Also, it is important to Dad that a nanny be comfortable working in a home that has a strong Catholic faith. Someone who understands there will be religious icons in the home, and that the children will likely discuss things they are learning at school, and may even have naturally curious questions they ask their nanny regarding these things. Someone who is sensitive to the children's faith formation is ideal.

If you are a nanny looking to become a part of a family, and help children feel safe and loved, this is the family for you!

This is a hybrid Nanny / House Manager position, so a caregiver who has experience and is comfortable with both roles is ideal, as each day will look a little different than the next.

Daily responsibilities can include:
School Drop Off and Pick Up
Keeping the kitchen area clean and tidy
General pick up at the end of the day
Children's Laundry
Assistance with Homework/Projects
Maintaining lists of Household Items Needed
Engaging with Cleaning/Maintenance Personnel
Grocery Shopping/Other Errands
Family Meal Prep
Organizing children's Schedule and Activities
Driving children to Outings and Activities.

Overview of a typical day on weeks that Dad has all (3) children:
All (3) kiddos are with Dad Friday to Friday
On average, nanny will start her day around 12 noon. There will be some mornings that will start at 6am and on these days, nanny will assist with breakfast, getting children ready for school, and taking them to school for drop off.
12 Noon/Return from Drop Off - Daytime can be spent cleaning, shopping, and preparing dinner meal.
3 pm - School Pick Up - Then transporting the children to any extracurricular events or sporting practice, returning home to assist with homework, and final dinner prep.
Typical day will end between 5-6pm when Dad gets home.

***It is important to note, that as a surgeon Dad does take call and is responsible for patient care in after hours situations, so Dad will need someone willing to be available to return to the house and possibly stay overnight if he is called in to the hospital in that situation. This is likely only to happen once every couple of months. Dad will pay for the whole overnight for this availability.

The weeks that Dad does not have his children will be lighter, but nanny will be able to obtain hours doing shopping for upcoming needs/groceries, cleaning, and if interested meal prep/planning.
