Overview: Full Time Nanny/House Manager needed for sweet Nashville family.
Dad is a very busy professional who has shared custody of his 6 year old son (B6), and has him one week on and one week off. For his Career, Dad is an Attorney who practices law from home and from an office. When not working, he enjoys traveling and fishing when he can.
His sweet and active little guy, (B6), loves riding his bike, hiking and playing outside. He also loves to travel and is always up for a beach or mountain trip.
Also in the home is Grady, the Golden Retriever, who loves everyone.
As a parenting style, Dad understands that (B6) thrives with the right balance of structure and choices. Dad believes in good communication and tries to give (B6) the space needed for self reflection. Dad says that if (B6) understands expectations, he almost always does his best!
The family's ideal candidate is honest, flexible and self-motivated. Someone who is looking for a long term position, and who would like to become a part of their family. As a busy professional, Dad's time and resources are stretched very thin, so in order for him to be the best Dad he can be for (B6), he is hoping to find someone proactive and responsible that can allow him to maximize his time with his son. Understanding that driving is an important part of the job description, candidates with experience transporting children and who have a clean driving record are a must. This includes transporting (B6) to and from school at Mom’s House on WEEK 2 schedule.
During the summer and school holidays, Dad and (B6) travel when they can, and want a nanny to know she is certainly invited to come along. Last year they went to Jamaica twice, St. John, Montana, and the North Carolina mountains, where Dad has a second home. Although finding a nanny who can travel would be ideal, it is not an absolute requirement for the job.
This is a hybrid Nanny / House Manager position, so a caregiver who has experience and is comfortable with both roles is ideal, as each day will look a little different than the next.
Daily responsibilities can include:
School Drop Off and Pick Up
Keeping the kitchen area clean and tidy
General pick up at the end of the day
Children's Laundry
