Overview: Friendly and Organized House Manager / Family Assistant needed for busy family of 4.
Mom and Dad are both natives of Middle TN, who after a long term friendship, decided to tie the knot in 2019, and have been doing life together ever since, adding 2 sweet kiddos to the mix - their daughter, who will be 4 in 2025, and her baby brother, who will be 2 in 2025.
Their oldest (G4) is full of personality and loves Disney Princess movies and singing. Their youngest (B2) is all boy and loves to play and dance. Both children attend full time daycare at Mom's office building, so she is able to drop them off and bring them home daily.
For their careers, Mom is an AVP at HCA and Dad is an Attorney with his own Lobbying Firm. Mom works a traditional work week and is in the office Monday through Friday 8AM - 4PM. Dad, on the other hand, works more than full time hours, especially during Legislative Session (JAN - MAY) where he is often required to attend after hours/evening meetings several times a week. It is this busy season where the family/Mom needs the most assistance and thus they have decided to initiate a search for a House Manager / Family Assistant to help lighten her load.
The family's ideal candidate is organized, kind, dependable, self-reliant and a good communicator. Someone who would like to be an extension of their household and family. During Dad's busy season, Mom is stretched thin trying to manage household tasks and spend time with her little ones, so candidates with a can-do and helpful attitude are a plus. Although cooking is not required, Mom would really like someone who was comfortable in the kitchen and would be open to meal prep and making sure dinner is preheated/ready when she gets home with the littles.
Family does NOT require candidates to have received the Covid Vaccine, TDap or Flu Shot.
Overview of a typical day:
House Management hours can be set or scheduled weekly.
Daily responsibilities can include:
General Household Tidying and Organization
Children's Laundry
Grocery Shopping
Family Meal Prep
Keeping the kitchen area clean and tidy
Family Errands and Shopping
Scheduling and Meeting Handymen
The family can offer 15 - 25 hours per week of employment, depending on how many hours a candidate would like to work.
*It would be ideal if a candidate were able to do a few late afternoon hours each week in order to get to know the children better, but this is negotiable.
**It would also be ideal if a candidate were available for evening babysitting on occasion.
***The family would like a HM / Family Assistant that would be open to care for (G3) and (B19mos) 7:15 AM - 5PM if they are home sick. In these cases, the hours can be added onto the weekly schedule, or en lieu of HM hours.
***The children's Daycare is open year round so there will NOT be a need for Nanny/HM to work full days over the Summer or for School Holidays.
The family would like a House Manager/Nanny in place between late fall 2024 and January 1, 2025.
Family would like a nanny that can commit to at least 6 months of employment. If you are looking for a long term position, please take this family into consideration, as they can see themselves employing a caregiver for many years to come!
