Overview: Playful and Energetic full time nanny needed for 1 year old boy in Nashville.

These world travelers met in Boston and moved to the Nashville area about 2 years ago. Collectively they have lived in France, China, Madagascar, the United Kingdom and Switzerland. For their careers, Mom manages several research projects and clinical trials across the world. She is also in her final year of her Doctor of Nutrition degree, which creates a very demanding schedule for her. Dad has a career in finance and was previously CFO for a Nashville-based digital media company. Their work requires occasional travel, but Mom and Dad work primarily from designated home offices.

Mom and Dad are a couple that ‘loves to learn’. They enjoy nature, music, art, reading, and are always on the lookout for new experiences. They tend to spend their spare time outdoors or exploring local cultural sights or restaurants and love bringing their little guy along for the experience. Dad also likes to write and Mom is currently studying for her third sommelier certification!

Their sweet boy (B1) is a very curious, detailed oriented, friendly, energetic little guy. He loves going on walks, watching the dogs in the park play, waving to and pointing at everything and everyone, and marveling at nature. He loves having books read to him expressively, listening to music, and delighting in Mom and Dad's improvised song and dance moves. He loves crawling around to investigate his surroundings and giggling at his parents as they act silly to make him laugh!

Mom and Dad are raising (B1) to be bi-lingual as they are both fluent in French. They like to spend time in France each summer (they have extended family residing there) and it is important to them that (B1) appreciates his family culture and heritage!

(B1) will be home full time.

Currently there are no pets in the home.

The family's ideal candidate is playful and energetic, has a positive and authoritative caregiving approach, is talkative and a good communicator, and is organized. Someone who is interested in child development and sees everything as a teaching /learning opportunity, and who will research and plan developmentally appropriate activities for their son. Mom and Dad envision their nanny as an extension of themselves, and desire a candidate that will share with them the adventures of the day and who is comfortable in making suggestions/observations for his care.

Mom and Dad's approach to parenting (B1) is very intentional and engaged. They make sure to focus the time they have as a family on helping (B1) develop intellectually, emotionally, and physically. They do their best to provide a consistent daily routine for him, maximize his smiles, and make sure to always look for, encourage and praise positive behaviors. They believe maintaining positivity, a sense of humor, and using redirection to calm (B1) or move him into a better mood are important to raising a joyful, resilient, and constructive child who does not dwell on negativity. Mom and Dad are both practicing Catholics and want to raise (B1) to live out the values of his faith in the way he behaves and treats others.

A nanny's daily responsibilities will include feeding, diapering, and playing with (B1) and putting him down for naps. During naptime, the family would like help with keeping the kitchen clean and tidy, helping with laundry, and keeping (B1)'s areas and supplies tidy and organized.

If you are a nanny who wants to be viewed as an extension of a family, this is the position for you!

Family does not require candidates to have received the TDap, Flu Shot, or Covid vaccine.
