Overview: Loving and Collaborative nanny needed for family of four in East Nashville

After spending her younger years in the Philippines, Mom moved to the US when she was 12, spending her childhood in Florida, before moving to California for college. Dad grew up in Wisconsin, attended college in Ohio, and then moved to California to start his career. It is at this juncture that the couple met and have been doing life together ever since! Flash forward to today, and the couple has been calling Nashville home for the last 4 years, and are now a family of four!

For their careers, Mom works from home as a Senior Digital Producer for a Fortune 500 Apparel Company, and Dad is a Software Engineer. They both work remotely from home, each having their own dedicated office space.

When not working, this fun and active couple enjoys live music, exploring all the different restaurants across the city, and of course, traveling!

Their oldest (G3) is a curious, talkative, imaginative and playful toddler, who loves singing, dancing, exploring musical instruments, and playing with her friends at the local park. Mom and Dad want to support her creativity and have her enrolled in weekly art and music classes. Her newest love is her sweet baby brother who arrived in August. (G3) will be home full time.

Her little brother (BNB) is a happy baby boy who loves to smile and coo. He enjoys his daily naps, is learning to like tummy time, and at 2 months is already developing a sweet personality. (BNB) will be home full time.

Currently there are no pets in the home.

Mom and Dad consider themselves to be a pretty laid back family. They value having a schedule and routine for the household, but are very open to being flexible and adjusting the routine as their children's needs change. They want to raise their children to be kind and polite, independent, creative and have good manners.

The family’s ideal candidate is trustworthy, nurturing, and responsible. Mom and Dad view their nanny as an important part of their family, and thus want to find a caregiver who is comfortable with openly communicating with them about changes in the children's routines and interests. TV time is strictly limited and the children do not have access to electronic devices to play with, so they are seeking a caregiver who is proactive and creative and enjoys hands on activities, both indoors and out, that will let their children's imaginations run wild.

Mom and Dad's parenting style is one of love and respect; having empathy for their children during growing pains while also following through with time outs or other consequences when boundaries are crossed. For their toddler, they are focused on helping her learn how to process and understand her big feelings, and also encourage her in ways that will help develop her sense of responsibility. A nanny with a similar outlook would be a welcome addition to the family.

Understanding that (G3) will not start a preschool program until August 2025, candidates who have experience with and are comfortable with caring for both a toddler and a newborn, and helping them meet their individual milestones, are preferred. And because driving is an important part of the job description, the family is requesting candidates who are experienced and comfortable transporting children, and who have a clean driving record.

Mom and Dad love adventure and typically travel as a family 4 - 6 weeks per year. It is important for them to find a nanny that is able to join them on some of these trips (~3 weeks annually) for work related travel and vacations that can be domestic or international.

If you are a nanny who wants a fun and collaborative work environment, with an opportunity for travel, this is the job for you!
