Overview: Fun Loving and Family Oriented couple is looking for a full time nanny for their two boys, ages 3 and NB.
After meeting in college, this sweet couple has spent the last 10 years moving around the country (Chicago, Nashville, Baltimore) while Mom was completing her Medical Training. After 4 years in Baltimore, the family is relocating back to Nashville where Mom will start her new job as a Pulmonologist at Vanderbilt, and Dad will be continuing his position as an Editor for a large sports publication - a dream job for most men - and working from home in a dedicated office space. While it is bittersweet to leave their families on the east coast, they are thrilled to be returning to Music City.
When not working, this close family enjoys spending time together, exploring new places and interests. Family and quality time together are far and away their biggest priority.
Their oldest son (B3) is a hilarious, kind-hearted little guy who loves construction trucks, monster trucks, planes, police cars, fire trucks, with some light dinosaurs sprinkled in! (B3) will be in school full time.
(B3) has enjoyed becoming a big brother to (BNB) this year! (BNB) arrived in early August and is the sweetest, most chill and smiley little man who warms the heart of everyone on a daily basis. It has been such a joy to watch him discover the world and see his personality starting to develop. His biggest interest is definitely (B3), who gets nothing but smiles when he says 'hi' or shares a toy. (BNB) will be home full time.
Also in the home is a very friendly geriatric dog named Nori, who follows Dad around like a shadow, so he will be upstairs most of the day in Dad's office.
As a parenting style, Mom and Dad try their best to be as supportive of their children's interests and developing personalities as possible, while setting appropriately firm boundaries. Both boys are kept on a daily schedule, but Mom and Dad are certainly flexible when plans take the family in a new and exciting direction.
The family’s ideal candidate is kind, energetic, attentive, patient and has a sense of humor - as Mom and Dad understand that all 5 of these qualities that are essential to make it through the day (especially with toddlers!). They have had a wonderful nanny for the past 4 years, who is now considered, and will remain, a close family friend, and they are hoping to find someone similar in Nashville!
As the role will be primarily caring for an infant, the family seeks candidates who have recent infant experience, and who are able to help (BNB) develop both physically and cognitively. There will be a very occasional need to care for (B3) (maybe 1 day every 2 months) when school is closed, candidates who are comfortable caring for a both boys at once are ideal.

Overview of nanny's typical day:
We plan for our nanny’s work day to start at 9am.
Either Mom or Dad will greet our nanny when she arrives and catch them up on where (BNB) is in terms of his eating/sleeping.
(Currently he eats/feeds/wakes in 3-4 hour cycles)
The family is combo feeding with bottle/breast so frozen breast milk will be combined with formula in bottles. (BNB) may be starting solid foods around 4 months when the family arrives in Nashville, so at that time, trying small finger foods (Family is a believer in baby-led weaning) will be part of (BNB) eating routine, particularly in the morning and afternoon.
(BNB) will nap in a bassinet, which can be in the play area downstairs or his nursery upstairs (it’s portable). During naptime, the family would like a nanny to assist with cleaning bottles/(BNB) dishes, preparing formula/solids, and general tidying at the end of the day.
Regarding awake activities, there are all sorts of toys/play gyms in the family play area, as well as in their backyard. Spending time outside is also prefered and the family's neighborhood is great for walks. At the end of the day, either MoM or Dad will relieve nanny at 5pm.
Family strongly prefers, but does not 100% require, candidates to have an up to date Covid Vaccine, Tdap and Flu Shot.
$26 - $30 per hour

*It is important to note that Mom has Clinic Hours 1x/ month and will travel occasionally for conferences, and Dad may need extra help on these occasions. A nanny open to working overtime on occasion would be welcomed.

The family will have arrived in Nashville by this date and could use help while they unpack and get settled in. They have a hard start date of January 2, 2025.
Family would like a nanny that can commit to 10 - 12 months of employment.
