Overview: Warm and fun loving Nashville couple are looking for a nanny for their sweet baby boy, born June 2024.

Mom and Dad are both from California, where they lived for the majority of their lives until the Summer of 2022, when longing to be closer to family, they decided to make the big move to Nashville. They absolutely love the area - especially the beautiful outdoors, delicious food scene and access to live music.

For their careers, Dad is a Doctor who practices in Spring Hill, and Mom is a Child Mental Health Therapist that works at a practice in Franklin. Neither parent works from home, but can be home from time to time if their schedule is light.

They welcomed their sweet baby boy (BNB) in June of this year, so parenthood and life with a newborn is still brand new for them. They have prioritized developing a secure attachment with their son by engaging in parent-child connective activities like play, baby wearing, communication and motor movement. They try to have a routine for (BNB) throughout the day, but recognize that during this newborn phase it is important to be flexible and follow his needs. So far they have learned that he loves to be sung to, enjoys walks with the family dog, and will fall asleep instantly when in a baby carrier. They love catching his little smiles and coos and can't wait to continue to see his personality unfold.

Also in the home is the family's fur child - a 4 year old Goldendoodle, who is an absolute delight! She has adapted very well to (BNB) and likes to be close to him, with the occasional lick to his toes or head. She is a playful pup that enjoys her walks, but spends most of the day just sleeping around or sunbathing out back.

As a mental health therapist who works with families, Mom understands the importance of secure attachments, and is rooting their parenting philosophy in the Circle of Security. And although they know how they want to be as parents, Mom and Dad recognize the inevitable challenges that parenting can bring, and that mistakes will get made, and plan to maintain a healthy and realistic view of their role.

The family’s ideal candidate is honest, playful and loving. Someone who will provide excellent daily care of their sweet little boy. The family prefers caregivers who are good communicators, who are open to providing updates during the day. Also, someone who will maintain bottle cleanliness and provide light housekeeping/tidying as needed. And because a caregiver may be driving (BNB) for outings, nannies who are experienced and comfortable transporting small children are required.

If you are a nanny who wants a supportive and respectful work environment, where you feel like an integral part of the family, this is the job for you!

Overview of nanny's typical day:

This is currently close to naptime, so nanny will put (BNB) down for a nap, then feed him when he wakes, change his diaper and then engage him in developmentally appropriate activities like tummy time, outside time, and engagement with toys.

6 PM - End of Day

Family strongly prefers, but does not 100% require candidates to have received the Covid Vaccine, TDap and Flu Shot.
