Overview: Loving and Collaborative Nanny needed for Family of 4 in Franklin.

Originally from Georgia and Indiana, Mom and Dad met while in Medical School, and knew very quickly they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together. After completing their Residency programs in Texas, they decided to put down roots in Nashville and start a family.

Mom and Dad both work full time as ER Physicians – with jobs that vary in hours and schedules from day to day, and week to week. As such, they are seeking a flexible and collaborative nanny who will provide excellent care of their children in their absence.

When not working, this young and active couple are very hands on parents, and enjoy spending as much time with their little ones as possible – sharing meals, putting on a spontaneous dance parties, and getting out of the house for outdoor adventures and exploring.

Together the couple has been blessed with two very healthy and happy children.

Their oldest, (B1) just turned 18 months old and is all things toddler and all things boy. He has a curious little mind, and is quick to try and figure things out for himself. He is extremely chatty, but it is still very much in a language that only Mom and Dad can understand. He loves getting outside for walks and trips to the park, but also enjoys quiet time at home with a good book. (B1) is settling in well to his new role as big brother, and is always willing to help out where he can. (B1) will be home full time.

The family’s newest addition (GNB) is a 2 months old little girl, who is about as sweet as they come. She loves to be held and snuggled, and has recently learned that bath time is fun! She is very curious about the world around her, and is currently trying to figure out who her big brother is, and why he is so loud!

Also in the home are the family’s 2 Golden Retrievers, ages 6 and 10, who have reached the age where they fit the description of ‘couch potato’ quite well.

Mom and Dad like to think of their parenting as very involved and hands on when they are not at work. They try to lead with love, while maintaining boundaries and rules. They want their children to know they are a part of a family that loves God, knows to respect others, and that their parents are always available with a listening ear.

The family’s ideal candidate is loving and attentive, patient and kind. Someone who genuinely loves their children, and is excited to watch them learn and grow. Having 2 children under 2 makes for a busy household, so candidates with experience caring for 2 small children at the same time are preferred.

Mom and Dad view this as a collaborative role, with their nanny being viewed as a valued family member. If you are a nanny who wants a position where you feel like part of the family, this is the job for you!

Overview of Job Description:

Due to Mom and Dad’s irregular hours and schedules, a nanny will not have a set schedule from week to week. Here is an overview of the family’s needs. On mornings when Mom and Dad have to leave at 5:30 AM, a nanny can either spend the night the night before or arrive at 5:30 AM.

WHEN NANNY STAYS OVERNIGHT - Nanny will have her own bedroom and bathroom and can store items in the home permanently.

(B1) typically wakes at 8:30. Nanny will feed him breakfast, and then supervise playtime and lunch before his nap at 12:30, while also keeping (GNB) on her schedule.

2:30 PM (B1) wakes and plays during the afternoon. (GNB) will be along for the ride and will need her feeding and nap schedule managed as well.

(B1) gets his dinner around 6pm and then it is time for bath and bedtime at 7 or 7:30.

Mom and Dad typically get home from work at 8 or 9 pm.

For days where Mom or Dad work night shift, they leave at 5PM and get home around 9 AM the next day. They will need a nanny that can arrive before 5, stay overnight and then work the majority of the next day while parents get caught up on their sleep.

SAMPLE SCHEDULE AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST.

*Family strongly prefers, but does not 100% require candidates to have a current Flu Shot and Tdap. Family does not require Covid Vaccine.
