Overview: Experienced, Professional and Flexible Family Assistant needed for Family of 5 in Franklin
About: Although Mom and Dad both grew up in Southern California, they didn’t meet until later in life, after being introduced by mutual friends. For their careers, Dad is a former professional ball player who stays busy with Promotions, Appearances, and Guest Coaching back out on the West Coast. Mom owns her own Candle Making business, and together the two also manage several properties in various locations.
To top off an already busy schedule, the couple is in the process of remodeling their family home and building up the farm on their property.
Together they are raising a blended family, with three littles that live with them full time. They have twin boys that are 7 years old, (B7, B7), who are very active and love sports and adventures. Currently, their favorite things to do are playing outside, and anything sports related like baseball, golf, bowling and soccer.
Their daughter is 9 years old, (G9), and is very outgoing and focused. She is a creative and loves doing art projects of any kind. She also enjoys being active and loves to make time to play with friends, her little brothers, and the animals who reside on property, which currently include several barn cats and 2 dogs.
All 3 children go to school full time.
Mom and Dad describe their family as loving, active and team oriented. Their home is very busy with 3 young children, so they work hard to keep the environment structured, positive and supportive. They value kindness, respect and good manners, and helping their children grow into confident, capable adults.
The family's ideal candidate is:
INVESTED AND PROACTIVE: All 3 children are very active and involved in their school community – which makes for very busy social calendars for all. The family would like a nanny who will proactively keep an eye out for and document school activities (like Themed Days, School Fairs) and help make sure the kiddos have what is needed to participate.
ENGAGING AND ENERGETIC: Someone who will take a vested interest in the children and come up with creative ideas to keep them active and excited, while also encouraging them and guiding them in ways to entertain themselves.
A GOOD COMMUNICATOR: Mom and Dad value good communication, and are seeking a nanny who will make sure they are made aware/remind them of important appointments and social engagements on the family calendar.
EXPERIENCED AND PROFESSIONAL: Someone who has experience and is comfortable supporting a family as both a Nanny and a Family Assistant to help manage the day-to-day needs of the household to ensure a peaceful, well-run environment.
FLEXIBLE: Parents will cover most mornings, but if both parents are traveling or have a work appointment, they would like a nanny who could be available for Morning Drop Off on occasion. The family would also like a nanny who is available to work full days when school is closed/school holidays.
AVAILABLE WEEKENDS: With 3 active kiddos, weekends are just as busy as weekdays, so the family would like a nanny with weekend availability. They would really like to find a nanny that was open/available to work most Saturdays. They understand completely that a nanny may have an event or other obligation on some Saturdays and would be happy to abbreviate hours or give a nanny the day off on those occasions.
OPEN TO In Town Overnights: There will be times when Mom and Dad are traveling together out of town and a nanny will be needed for overnights. This will be paid on top of a nanny’s typical weekly schedule.
EXPERIENCED DRIVER: Because driving can be a regular part of their nanny’s day, caregivers who are experienced and comfortable driving minors, and who have a clean driving record, is a must.

Overview of nanny's typical work day:
MONDAY through THURSDAY:
Nanny arrives: 12 NOON
The beginning of the shift will be FA facing and will focus on:
Organization if kid’s clothes – Sizing out articles of clothing and buying/replacing as needed; donating gently used clothing
Meal Planning to introduce new and fun foods to the children
Grocery Shopping
Amazon Returns
Household Errands like Dry cleaning drop off and pick up
Managing the kid’s school calendar
Planning Fun Activities for the children
3:00 PM - FA will begin transitioning to Nanny Role, which will include Afterschool Pick Up, driving kiddos to after school activities when needed, or returning home. While Mom gets dinner ready she would like Nanny to focus solely on the children: getting them a snack, supervising homework and then playtime until dinner.
5:30 PM – 6:30 PM Dinner
7:00 PM – End of Day
*Family can be flexible on end times if needed
FRIDAYS:
3PM / 4PM – 10 PM / 11:00 PM
Mom and Dad would like a nanny who is willing to shift hours on Fridays to give them a date night each week, if possible. Nanny role on this day would include after school play and then dinner, bath and bedtime routine.
*It is important to note that the family is open to the idea of a split shift (Monday through Thursday) if a nanny would like to come in early to take care of FA responsibilities, and then break and come back for school pick up.
**Nanny will need to be able to cover a full days (10 am – 7pm) if a child is home sick or for school closings.
SATURDAY:
Managing activities for 3 very active children makes most Saturdays challenging. The family would like a nanny who is open to supporting them on Saturdays as well, and can be very flexible regarding hours. Arrival time no earlier than 10 and departure time no later than 6.

· ASAP – Although the family would like a Nanny / Family Assistant in place as soon as possible, they are patient and will wait for the best fit.
· This position requires a nanny to be able to commit to at least a year of employment. If you are looking for a long-term position, please take this position into consideration as they plan on employing a nanny for several years to come!
DURING SCHOOL YEAR:
~40 hours per week (or more if a nanny were available and wanted more hours)
Between the hours of
12 Noon – 7 pm (Monday through Thursday)
3pm/4pm – 10pm/11pm (Fridays)
10 am – 6pm (Saturdays )
SUMMER SCHEDULE will be similar, but there will be some days/weeks when a nanny will need to cover full days (10AM – 7PM ) when 1 or more children do not have a camp to attend.
