Overview: Organized and Flexible Family Assistant Needed for Busy Household in Murfreesboro
About: Originally from Knoxville and Nashville, Mom and Dad married while in medical school in Harrogate, TN. They spent their Residencies in Jackson, and after completing their training, they moved to Murfreesboro to begin their careers. Today, both parents are Family Medicine Physicians — Mom is preparing to open her own private practice, and Dad is balancing his clinical work with running a wellness and aesthetics business he founded in 2023. Their schedules are full, meaningful, and often unpredictable, and they pour their energy into caring for their patients, their community, and most importantly, their three young children.
When they do find pockets of free time, they love spending it together — taking their littles on new adventures, getting outside to play, traveling, enjoying great food, and staying active. Mom loves to read, Dad enjoys sports, and as a family they attend Experience Community Church in Murfreesboro when Dad’s call schedule allows.
Together they have three children:
Their oldest, (G4), is full of energy, humor, and heart. She’s athletic, bright, and loving, and she takes her role as big sister very seriously. She enjoys helping around the house and looks forward to going to her gymnastics class each week.
Her little brother, (B2), is sweet, silly, sensitive, and happiest when he’s playing with his siblings. He shares Dad’s love of sports and adores being part of the action.
The baby of the group, (BNB), is a joyful, easygoing baby who loves being wherever the people are. He’s content, smiley, and goes with the flow unless he’s hungry or tired.
All 3 kiddos go to school Monday through Friday.
Mom and Dad describe themselves as a laid‑back, yet very busy family, whose home is grounded in kindness, integrity, and a faith‑centered approach to daily life. With no family nearby and two demanding careers, they juggle a lot and embrace flexibility over rigid routines. Their parenting emphasizes grace, patience, positive language, and teaching their children to use their words and actions for kindness. They aim to raise little ones who feel deeply loved, supported, and encouraged to make good choices — and who understand the values that guide their home.
It is with this focus that they are seeking a Family Assistant who can help manage the household in the mornings, allowing them to maximize their most important role: being present, connected parents to their three children.
The family’s ideal candidate is:
Consistent & Reliable – Someone who shows up with steadiness, communicates clearly, and becomes a trusted partner in the home.
Patient & Flexible – Someone who can roll with the natural unpredictability of a physician household and support a family that doesn’t operate on rigid routines.
Proactive & Self‑Motivated – Someone who takes initiative, anticipates needs, and keeps the household running smoothly without needing direction at every step.
Detail‑Oriented – Someone who notices what needs attention, keeps systems organized, and follows through with care.
Values‑Aligned – Someone who respects the family’s faith‑centered foundation and approaches their work with kindness, integrity, and warmth.
Because occasional driving will be needed, a clean driving record is required. A nanny with a vehicle that can accommodate (3) carseats in the back seat is preferred. (Let the AGENCY know if you are interested, but this is an issue)
Family does not require candidates to have received the Covid Vaccine or Flu Shot. They DO REQUIRE candidates to have a current Tdap.
