Overview: Warm and Engaging Nanny needed for Family of 4 in West Nashville.

About: Mom and Dad first met in medical school, where long study days and shared ambition quickly grew into a deep partnership. The next few years were very busy for the young couple - they went on to get married, complete their residency training, and begin a family while navigating the intensity of early medical careers side by side.

About a year ago, they moved to Music City for Dad’s final training and they are excited to now call Nashville home. While his work will have him out of the home full time, Mom will be working part time as a Hospitalist at Tristar Centennial Children’s Hospital.

When not working, Mom enjoys playing the piano, reading, and getting inspired by DIY home projects she may or may not ever actually attempt, while Dad like to stay active and especially loves biking.

Together the couple has 2 children.

(G20mos) is their bright, spirited, and endlessly entertaining oldest daughter. She brings so much personality to their home — she’s spunky, hilarious, a little mischievous, and wonderfully opinionated. She adores dogs, dance parties, being outside, books, and her baby sister -in that order. She thrives with a predictable rhythm and loves to explore. She also has a peanut allergy, so the family keeps their home peanut‑free.

(G6mos) is their sweet, joyful baby girl. She lights up for smiles, watches her big sister with total fascination, and is currently in the “chew on everything” stage as she works on her first teeth. She is an easygoing little one who falls asleep independently for naps and bedtime, and she’s currently taking three naps a day as she transitions toward two. Getting dressed, however, is a firm “no thank you” in her book—and she makes her feelings known with great enthusiasm.

Both girls are home full time.

Mom and Dad describe their home as warm, faith‑centered, and grounded in strong family values. They hope to raise their daughters to be kind, confident, well‑mannered, and rooted in what matters most. Their parenting style blends gentle and authoritative approaches—responsive and nurturing, while also providing clear boundaries and consistency. They emphasize teaching over punishment and often redirect with alternatives rather than frequent “no’s,” while still recognizing when a firm boundary is needed. Outdoor time is a daily priority, and while they are not a screen‑free home, they keep screen use very limited and intentional.

 The family's ideal candidate is:

WARM & ENGAGING: Someone who genuinely enjoys being with little ones and delights in getting down on the floor, playing, exploring, and connecting with them throughout the day. A caregiver who brings joy, presence, and enthusiasm into their daughters’ world.

PATIENT: Caring for two spirited, opinionated young girls requires steadiness and deep breaths. They’re looking for someone who can stay calm, grounded, and understanding as the girls learn, express big feelings, and navigate toddlerhood together.

DEPENDABLE: Reliability is essential for this family’s rhythm. They value a caregiver who is consistent, trustworthy, and someone they can count on—especially with early‑morning start times and a parent working in healthcare.

ACTIVE & INVOLVED: A nanny who is eager to play outside, move with the girls, and stay fully present. They prefer limited phone use around their daughters and appreciate a caregiver who is hands‑on, attentive, and engaged in the moment.

SAFETY‑MINDED: Good judgment is a top priority. They’re seeking someone who understands child safety, knows what to avoid, and can confidently navigate tricky moments. Someone who can assess when to handle a situation independently and when to reach out for support.

The family prefers, but does not require, candidates to have a current TDap. They do not require candidates to have received the Covid Vaccine or Flu Shot.

Overview of nanny's typical work day:

6:30 AM – Nanny arrives

Breakfast follows downstairs, then getting both girls ready for the day. (G6mos) takes her first nap around 9:00–9:30 AM, and during this time the nanny and (G20mos) enjoy outdoor play, walks, or simple activities inside. Late morning includes feeding the baby, preparing lunch for (G20mos), and settling both girls for their midday naps. The afternoon is a mix of snacks, outdoor time, neighborhood walks, and one additional nap for (G6mos), with Dad arriving home between 5:30–6:30 PM, at which point the nanny’s day wraps up.
