Overview: Flexible and Engaging Nanny needed for Soon To Be Family of 5 in Green Hills.

About: Dad is a TN native, who after graduating from the University of TN (GO VOLS!), joined his father at their family's business that specializes in undergraduate, graduate, and doctorate programs, and is currently the President of the Nashville campus.
Mom is originally from Arizona, and met Dad after attending PA school in Knoxville. They dated long distance for about a year before she moved to Nashville, and they eventually married. The next several years were spent building their careers and expanding their family, with their first daughter born in 2021 and their second in 2023. Balancing work and Motherhood brought its challenges for Mom, so she decided to step away from medicine and turn her focus toward what mattered most to her: building strong bonds with her daughters, and being able to experience the special moments of daily life with them.

Now that she is expecting her third, she is ready to bring on an extra pair of hands to help balance out the sweet chaos of life with 3 under 5.

Their oldest daughter, (G5), will be 5 at the end of March. She is a very independent and confident little girl who loves to “run the show.” She enjoys being a big sister, helps often, and bounces back quickly from typical sibling disagreements. She’s a girly girl at heart and loves dressing up, “makeup,” and handbags! She goes to school 5 days a week, 7:45 – 2:30, and stays active with dance, swim, gymnastics, and will enjoy camps and swim team this summer.

Her little sister, (G2.5), is silly, lovable, and full of personality. She looks up to her big sister and loves dancing, singing, and playing with baby dolls. She can be a little sassy at times but recovers quickly and is incredibly sweet‑natured. She also goes to school 5 days a week, 8:00 – 2:30, and will be enjoying camps part time this summer.

(GNB), also a girl, is set to arrive at the end of March, and everyone in the family is very excited to meet her!

Also in the home is the family’s 70‑pound Berneedoodle who is very sweet, affectionate, and loves everyone.

Mom and Dad describe their family as full of life, but balanced - keeping an active social calendar filled with friendly dinners, sporting events and concerts, while also making sure to carve out quiet family time at home each week.
Their girls are their top priority, and they describe their parenting style as filled with love and support, and one that fosters independence for their girls by setting clear boundaries and expectations with them.

The Family’s Ideal Candidate Is:
Reliable and Punctual: Someone who will be at work on time and also attentive to the girl’s schedules.

Honest and Transparent: Someone who is interested in forming a foundation of trust, and who will partner well with Mom and Dad.

Nurturing: Someone who loves children of all ages and has an avid interest in helping them grow and develop.

Organized: Someone who likes Organization, especially as it pertains to the children and their belongings. Mom would be very pleased to find a nanny who will walk alongside her and make sure things are reset and back in place each day, and who can also encourage and direct the children to do the same.

Open to Travel: This family enjoys taking 1 to 2 vacations per year, and
and would love to find a nanny who would like to come along. This is not an absolute requirement.

Also, as there will be Driving involved, a nanny who is experienced and comfortable driving minors, and who has a clean driving record, is a must.

The family requires candidates to have a current TDap. They prefer, but do not require, candidates to have a recent Flu Shot. They do not require candidates to have received the COvid Vaccine.

Overview of nanny’s typical day:

A Nanny’s Day will follow one of two schedules: 7am – 1pm OR 12 noon – 6pm

For the first 6 weeks, while Mom is caring for (GNB) she would like a nanny that can keep the rhythm of the home in place, focusing primarily as a Family Assistant and transporting older girls to and from school/activities. Mom may want to be with older girls for after school activities so will need newborn care some days as well.

After that, a nanny’s day will look like this:

For the 7am – 1pm schedule:
Both (G5) and (G2.5) are in school full time. Mom may have appointments during this time, so daily activities can include School Drop Off for the older girls (if Mom is not available) and then returning to the home to care for (GNB) OR if Mom is home, returning to the home and shifting to the Family Assistant Role*. Mom and Nanny will share care for all three girls during holidays and school closings.

Care for the baby will include bottle feeding, engaging during wake times, putting her down for naps, and changing diapers.

For the 12 noon – 6pm schedule:
If Mom is not available, nanny will arrive and begin care for (GNB). Care for the baby will include bottle feeding, engaging during wake times, putting her down for naps, and changing diapers. Either Mom or Nanny will take care of after school pick up, depending on the day, and then transport the older girls to any activities and then return home for the close of the day.

*Family Assistant role can include helping with laundry, dishes, errands, grocery shopping, meal prep, and tidying living spaces and play areas at the end of each shift.
