Overview: Fun and active nanny needed for family of four in Nashville.

This down to earth couple met in Memphis while Dad was in Pharmacy School and Mom was in Medical School. As the story goes, Dad was a great cook who brought Mom food while she studied, and the rest, you can say, is history!

For their careers, Mom will be starting a new position as a heart failure and transplant Cardiologist at Vanderbilt beginning August 1st, and Dad will be transitioning his job with CVS. Both parents work outside of the home full time.

When not working this closely bonded family loves spending time together exploring, and going to family friendly activities.

Together the couple has 2 children: their son, (B2.5), and daughter, (G10mos). Mom and Dad recognize they are completely biased, but say their two kiddos are really fun little kids. Their oldest, (B2.5) is an energetic little guy who loves running and playing outside. He is a protective big brother, who is always quick to check on his little sister and give her a kiss whenever he hears her cry.

Sweet little (G10mos) is possibly the happiest baby you will ever meet, and adores her big brother as much as he loves her. She has just started crawling, and said her first word, ‘bye-bye,’ last week. Both children will be home full time.

Also in the home are the family’s two geriatric cats, Crumbles and Albie, who spend most of their time napping, or seeking out treats from (B2.5).

Mom and Dad have been blessed with the same amazing nanny since (B2.5) was four months old, and have enjoyed a truly positive and collaborative relationship with her. They are devastated to be parting ways with her when they move, but are excited to meet a new nanny who will join their family and help them raise their kiddos.

The family’s ideal candidate is warm, encouraging, safe, consistent and reliable, and has experience caring for 2 small children at the same time. Someone who is confident and comfortable sharing insight with parents, and who seeks a working relationship built on trust and mutual respect. Coming from Boston, the children have spent their days getting ‘out and about,’ going to playgrounds, libraries, and various community playgroups. The busy days and socialization have been great for them, and Mom and Dad are optimistic that their new nanny will also be able to take them out daily and explore their new city. Understanding that Nashville is more of a ‘driving’ city, candidates who are experienced and confident driving children are preferred.

Overview of a typical day:

8:00 - Nanny arrives and helps the kiddos finish breakfast and get their day started.

Mom and Dad are very flexible on how time during the day is spent, but do feel like the children benefit from getting out of the house (even briefly) at least once a day, most days.

11:00 am - Lunch

(B2.5) naps around 1:00 pm or 2:00 pm and (G1) takes a morning and afternoon nap.

5:00 – End of Day

*Family does not 100% require candidates to have received the Covid vaccine. Family does 100% require candidates to have a current Flu Shot and Tdap.
