Overview: Patient and Loving nanny needed for newborn in East.

About: Originally from Chicago, Mom relocated to Nashville about four years ago. She works in Sales and will be transitioning back to work at the end of February. Dad is a Nashville native who works in Finance. Both parents go into the office a few days a week, with Mom working from home 2 days a week in a designated work space.

In their free time, Mom and Dad enjoy staying social, spending time with friends, and traveling when they can.

Mom and Dad welcomed their first child in December (GNB), and she is showing herself to be a very sweet, and very content, baby girl. At two months old, she’s already settling in beautifully to life at home — enjoying her bottles, resting well overnight, and beginning to show more of her personality every day. She’s alert, curious in that gentle newborn way, and happiest when she’s being held and talked to.

Also in the home is Charlie, the family’s 20‑lb Italian Greyhound/Beagle mix. He’s protective and loyal, and becomes very friendly once he’s had a few introductions. Mom and Dad will be present to help ensure the transition feels comfortable for everyone, and that Charlie and their nanny get off to a great start.

Mom and Dad describe themselves as responsive, hands‑on parents, who want their daughter to feel safe, loved, and supported. They appreciate structure and consistency, and are prioritizing building healthy routines around her sleep and feedings. As she grows, they plan to encourage independence and curiosity through simple, age‑appropriate activities, and letting her explore at her own pace.

The Family’s Ideal Candidate Is:

Good Communicator: Someone who communicates clearly and proactively with Mom and Dad.

Attentive: Someone who is engaged and observant throughout the day, and tuned in to their daughter’s cues and needs.

Patient: A steady, calm presence who moves at a newborn’s pace with gentleness and ease.

Supportive: A trusted, positive presence in the home — someone the whole family genuinely enjoys having around.

Fun: Warm, joyful, and lighthearted, offering simple, age‑appropriate play that supports their daughter’s early development.

And because Driving has the potential to be part of a nanny’s future routine, candidates who are experienced and comfortable driving minors, and who have a clean driving record, is a must.

Family does not require candidates to have received the Covid Vaccine. They prefer candidates that have a current Tdap and Flu Shot.

Overview of nanny's typical work day:

Nanny arrives: 7 am
A typical day will follow (GNB)’s feeding and sleep schedule, with attentive, loving care throughout. After a quick morning handoff, the nanny will guide (GNB) through her natural newborn rhythm — bottles, burping, diaper changes, and calm, consistent nap routines.
During awake windows, the family hopes for engaged interaction: talking, reading, singing, tummy time, simple developmental play, and stroller walks when the weather is nice.
Between baby‑care moments, help with washing/prepping bottles, baby laundry, and light tidying of (GNB)’s spaces is appreciated. Charlie will also need to be let outside a few times a day.
At the end of the shift, a brief recap of her feeds, naps, mood, and any sweet moments helps Mom and Dad ease into the evening.
End of Day: 5pm
