Overview: Nurturing and Proactive Full Time Nanny / Family Assistant needed for Family of Four in Green Hills.
About: Mom and Dad’s story began over 20 years ago on a blind date at Mafiaoza’s Pizza in the 12 South area of Nashville. Mom shared that it was Dad’s sense of humor that first caught her attention, followed by his ambition, motivation, and strong sense of purpose. Needless to say, the date went very well, as they have now been married for 17 years and are raising three children together.
Their oldest, (B20), is currently attending Middle Tennessee State University, where he is majoring in Concrete Industry Management. He lives in Murfreesboro and is working hard to build his future. Mom and Dad are incredibly proud of the responsible, grounded young man he has become.
Next in line is (B17), a rising senior at Christ Presbyterian Academy (CPA), where he plays lacrosse. He is highly entrepreneurial and motivated — in addition to school and sports, he started his own company and currently manages two rental homes. He is independent, driven, and always looking for new opportunities to learn and grow. (B17) goes to school full time and will not need care.
(G7) is their youngest and will be entering 2nd grade this fall. She is full of personality and strongwilled at times, but also incredibly kind, funny, and affectionate. She keeps the whole family laughing. (G7) loves being around people, making new friends, and anything involving animals. She is energetic, social, and brings so much joy into their home. (G7) goes to school full time, and will be the only child needing care.
The family also shares their home with a small dog who is gentle, friendly, and loves being part of the daily rhythm of the household.
Mom and Dad describe their family as faithcentered, loving, hardworking, and relationshiporiented. Their home is built on a foundation of Christ, and they strive to reflect His love, grace, and truth in the way they interact with one another and guide their children.
Their parenting philosophy blends firm boundaries and structure with flexibility, empathy, and connection. They believe children thrive when expectations are clear and consistent, while also recognizing that every child and every moment is different. They place a strong emphasis on teaching life skills, personal responsibility, kindness, and respect for others.
When emotions run high, they lean toward coregulation rather than punishment, helping their children feel safe, understood, and supported while still holding them accountable. With (G7) specifically, they’ve found that giving her a little space when she’s overwhelmed is often the best first step. Once she is calm, she responds well to redirection, problemsolving, and reconnecting.
Above all, Mom and Dad hope to raise children who grow into confident, compassionate, resilient adults who know they are deeply loved.

The family’s ideal candidate is:
Someone who naturally takes initiative — a person who notices what needs to be done, steps in with confidence, and takes ownership without needing constant direction. They value someone who is proactive, resourceful, and genuinely enjoys helping a home run smoothly.
Someone who is nurturing and emotionally intelligent, and who can build a strong connection with (G7), understand her personality, and guide her through challenging moments with patience, empathy, and confidence.
Someone who is organized and dependable, and able to stay on top of a busy household’s moving parts with reliability, attention to detail, and steady followthrough. Because family life is dynamic, they hope to find someone who is flexible and adaptable, comfortable adjusting when schedules shift, and willing to travel with the family when needed.
Above all, they are seeking someone who is positive and teamoriented — a person who communicates well, enjoys being part of a family, and takes pride in creating a peaceful, supportive environment.
Mom and Dad envision this role as much more than a traditional nanny position. The right person will serve as both a nanny and a house manager, helping create order, consistency, and support within their home. They hope to welcome someone who is invested in (G7)’s wellbeing, understands the importance of structure and routine, and is excited to partner with them in creating a warm, loving, and wellfunctioning home.

Family does not require candidates to have received the Covid Vaccine, Tdap or Flu Shot.

Overview of nanny's typical work day:
During the school year, the nanny/house manager begins around 10:00 AM, focusing first on household management. This includes laundry, organizing, light housekeeping, grocery shopping, running errands, meal preparation, and caring for the family’s small dog. The goal during this time is to keep the home running smoothly and anticipate needs before they arise.
At 2:40 PM, the nanny picks up (G7) from school, offers a healthy snack, and gives her some downtime before transitioning into the afternoon rhythm. Depending on the day, this may include transporting her to activities, playdates, or appointments. The nanny prepares dinner before the family gathers around 5:00 PM, and supports homework and reading time beginning around 5:30 PM. Afternoons often include opportunities for outdoor play, crafts, or other engaging activities that help (G7) unwind and connect. End of day: 6:00 PM
During the summer, the schedule shifts to 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, unless (G7) is attending camp. Summer days blend childcare with outings, swimming, playdates, educational enrichment, and creative activities, alongside ongoing household management. The family is looking for someone who enjoys being active, organized, and playful while helping (G7) have a fun, structured, and engaging summer.
