Overview: Calm and nurturing nanny needed for sweet baby girl in Sylvan Park.
Mom and Dad began their journey toward a family at the height of the Covid pandemic, meeting on Bumble in July of 2020. Shortly after their first date, Dad learned that he had Covid, so our second conversation was a result of Covid contact tracing! Undeterred, and after 10 days of quarantining, they had our second date and didn’t look back, and were married in Monteagle, TN on June 4, 2022.
Mom is a Nashville native and works for the Tennessee Department of Health, focusing on bringing resources to rural communities. She works from home on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays and in the office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Dad is originally from Tuscaloosa, AL and works at a Real Estate Investment Company that serves elderly residents. He works from home only from time to time. They both love their work and love helping other people in their jobs.
In their spare time, the couple has a wonderful church community that they are actively involved with. They also love cooking, hiking, walking on the greenway, traveling, reading and watching the latest streaming show on Netflix or other platform. Dad also has picked up a keen interest in pickleball.
Mom and Dad welcomed their first child, a sweet baby girl, (GNB), in February 2025, and say she’s a happy, healthy baby who is just beginning to explore the world around her. She is growing and changing every day, and they are excited to find a nanny to be part of her first milestones.
Also in the home is Grace, their sweet English lab who loves to snuggle, and Frannie, their playful Australian Shepherd. They love people and quickly become everyone’s new best friends!
The family’s ideal candidate is someone with a calming, dependable, and nurturing presence—someone who really loves babies and feels comfortable and confident with them, and who can create a joyful and safe environment for (GNB). Mom and Dad value open and honest communication, and want a nanny to always feel free to ask questions, share thoughts, and give feedback. As a couple, they always try to have a sense of humor, even when things are crazy, and believe that they can find a solution to any problem when they work together, and hope their nanny will be someone they are comfortable talking to, laughing with, and that they will have an easy, natural, and friendly relationship.

Overview of nanny's typical day:
8:30 am – Nanny Arrives
A typical day in the family home would involve caring for (GNB) from about 8:30am to 5:30pm, Monday through Friday while Mom and Dad are working. A nanny’s time with her might include reading, strolls to the park or greenway, tummy time, bottle feeding, diaper changes, and naps—and introducing new activities as she grows. Mom will work from home on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays and will try to breastfeed (GNB) on those days, and will go to her office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
During naptime, the family would like a nanny to help with baby’s laundry and general tidying of baby’s areas at the end of the day.
5:30 pm – End of Day
· $30 per hour
· Weekly guarantee of hours
· Overtime paid for all hours worked over 40
· Paid Holidays
· Vehicle Provided for transporting if needed
8:30 am – 5:30 pm
Monday through Friday
~40 hours/week
· ASAP – Mom returns to work May 5, 2025 – but the family has back up care and is patient to wait for the right person.
· This position requests a nanny that can commit to up to 4 months of employment.
