Overview: Hard working, Professional couple looking for a Nanny | Family Assistant to help with their very active 4 year old daughter and infant son.
About: Mom is Cuban-American and was born and raised in Miami, while Dad was born and raised in nearby Jackson, TN. Their education and careers have required them to live in many different cities, and now it is time for yet another move, bringing the couple back to Dad's home state and the city of Brentwood.
For their careers, Mom is a Pediatric Radiologist who works from home full time in a dedicated office and Dad is a Coach for the TN Titans. Both work long hours, especially Dad whose schedule during football season often has him out of the home for more than 14 hours a day, seven days a week. When it's not football season, these 'foodies" like to enjoy their favorites pastime by going to new restaurants, or grilling and chilling at home. And since they are returning to an area with close family nearby, they are certain their weekends will be filled with get togethers and hosting Game Watch Parties!
Their beautiful toddler girl, (G4), can be described in one word: Leader! At nearly 4 years-old, she knows what she wants and how to get it. She's a girl that loves to stay busy, ask “why” about everything, and does not miss ONE detail of what you do or say! She is a big talker, and has even earned the nickname of “chatterbox” at school, but she will keep you laughing most of the day. If her sassiness and spunk don’t already win you over, her sweet and tender heart sure will – she loves to make sure you are okay and loves to take care of her little brother and dolls. She also loves to join in on Mom and Dad's love of cooking and is always ready to jump right in and help in the kitchen! She's overall, just a very happy little girl that loves to learn about the world around her. (G4) will be in day care from 10am to about 4 or 5pm (5) days per week.
Their little baby boy (B6mos) is the calm and patient energy that balances out his sister. He can be described as a little light of a human and is just happy to be around. He has huge round eyes that light up when you walk in and always has a smile. So far he only cries when hungry, tired, or has a dirty diaper. He goes right to sleep when you place him down and wakes up so happy! He has started to find his voice and loves to babble and laugh. (B6mos) will be in day care from 10am to about 4 or 5pm (5) days per week.
There are currently no pets in the home, but Auntie’s (mom’s sister) 14lb Cavapoo occasionally visits (she is hypoallergenic).
This couple cares very deeply for their son and daughter, and although Mom and Dad work hard, they always make sure they have as much quality time with their kiddos as possible to ensure they know they are loved and cared for. Their parenting style in on the 'Gentle Parenting' spectrum, with set boundaries, consistency, and the practice of many Montessori principles.
The family’s ideal candidate is proactive, fun and energetic. With a very active daughter and baby boy, the family would like a caregiver that enjoys planning fun and creative activities for them, both in and out of the home.
Mom speaks Spanish but Dad does not, so a caregiver who also speaks Spanish would be a nice addition, but not a requirement for consideration.
This family found their current nanny through Nannies of Green Hills in 2024, and she is now expecting her first child! The family is hoping to find a coverage for her maternity leave, beginning April 1, if not sooner.
Family does NOT require candidates to have received the Covid vaccination. They prefer, but do not 100% require candidates who have received the TDap vaccine and Flu Shot.
Overview of a nanny's day:
Most weeks Mom will take both kids to school in the morning, and will need a caregiver to pick them up and bring them home, so a caregiver who is experienced and comfortable driving a baby and toddler is a must. Currently (G4) has 2 after school activities – 1 to drive to and 1 located at school. (B6mos) will need to go along for the ride for one of those off-site activities. Mom works from 2-9 pm and Dad works until about 9:30 pm, so after school time will include after school activities, bathing and feeding, and putting both kids to bed. Once kids are asleep, Mom would like a caregiver that could assist with family laundry, family meal prep, lunch packed for kids the next day, and general tidying of common areas. It is important to note that although Mom works from home, her work schedule is very demanding and often does not allow time for her to leave her home office during the day, so a caregiver will be solely in charge of (G4) and (B6mos). Seven (7) weeks throughout the year Mom will work day shifts and the caregiver will need to arrive early (7 am), get the kids ready, and take them to school, and Mom will pick up in afternoon.

· ASAP – The family would like a nanny who would be interested in picking up a few shifts while their current nanny prepares for her maternity leave.
At this time, the family would like a nanny to fold in full time from APRIL 1, 2026 through JULY 31, 2026, to cover their current caregiver’s maternity leave.
This is a 4 MONTH POSITION that has the possibility of starting sooner if their nanny goes into early labor!
As mentioned above, Mom typically works Evenings (2pm – 9pm) for 7 days in a row.
This is the family’s PRIMARY NEED:
Mon-Fri 4 pm - 9:30 pm (5.5 hrs x 5 = 27.5 hrs)
Sat/Sun 10 am - 4:30 pm (6.5 hrs x 2 = 13 hrs)
Total = 40.5 hours
There are 7 weeks out of the year that Mom’s work schedule shifts and she needs morning hours covered.
This is their SECONDARY NEED:
Mon-Fri 7am-1 pm
Total = 30 hours
The remaining weeks are open to scheduling based on nanny’s availability and family’s needs for up to 30 hours a week. Family is open to offering these as:
