Overview: Kind and Responsible Nanny/Family Assistant needed for Busy Family in Green Hills
Mom and Dad are both originally from East Tennessee, and met in Memphis while attending Medical School. For their careers, Dad is a Surgeon who works very long hours, and Mom is a Psychiatrist who works a hybrid role. She has a home office where she monitors patients on Mondays and Tuesdays, and then is out of the home Wednesday through Friday.
Together the couple has 5 beautiful children.
Their oldest, (B16), is an easy going and happy young man, who is pretty self-sufficient, including driving himself to school and hockey practice during the week. He is in the 10th grade at MBA. (B16) attends school full time.
Next in line is (G14), a very bright, and very driven young lady who enjoys ballet and playing the Cello and Piano. Her high achieving nature has her hyper focused and organized with her schoolwork, but a little less attentive to her responsibilities at home (i.e. her room). She is loved by all, and is very easy to get along with. (G14) attends Harpeth Hall full time.
Her little sister, (G13), is also very independent and driven, and requires very little guidance to stay on track. She has high expectations for herself, and for others, especially when it comes to being on time. One of her sweetest qualities is that she is great with little kids – who always seem to gravitate toward her. This has been especially helpful when it comes to her younger brothers. Her current extra curriculars include martial arts, scouts and voice lessons. (G13) attends Harding Academy full time.
Rounding out the bunch are 10 year old twin boys, (T1) and (T2).
(T1) is high energy and likes to be outside and active. As he is getting settled into a new school year, he is becoming more independent, and understanding the value of a schedule. He has played hockey in the past and may play again this year, but that is still yet to be determined.
(T2) is a happy, healthy boy, who is very independent. He was born with a rare genetic syndrome that causes speech delay and intellectual disability, and although he may be a little hard to understand at times, his speech has come a long way! He is very independent, easy and fun to be around. Both boys attend Julia Green full time.
Also in the home are 2 Goldendoodles, who everyone considers to be part of the family.
As one would imagine, life with (5) children is almost always busy, and has a lot of moving parts. And though Mom and Dad would consider themselves to be fairly laid-back people, they understand the value and stability that schedules provide. Currently, they want their children to be more independent with their responsibilities at home, for which they will be held accountable for. Although Mom is flexible and can pitch in on Monday and Tuesday afternoons, she is looking for a nanny who can oversee the kiddos and also help with some much needed assistance around the house.
The family's ideal candidate is:
Warm and Kind: Someone who will care for their children, recognize their individual personalities, and will be invested in their growth and development.
Reliable and Dependable: Someone who will be at work on time and also attentive to the children’s schedule.
A Good Communicator: Mom values strong communication, and appreciates a nanny who will keep her informed of any schedule changes, or any issues that come up with the children. Mom, in turn, will be sure to do the same.
Flexible: Someone who has the ability to pivot and adjust activities based on the day.
Motivated: Someone who takes initiative to get things done, and is also able to relegate appropriate responsibilities to the children and oversee that they get done.
And because Driving will be needed, a nanny who is experienced and comfortable driving minors, and who has a clean driving record, is a must. Nanny must have a vehicle that can fit (3) children in the back seat if necessary.
Family does NOT require candidates to have received the Covid Vaccine, Tdap or Flu Shot.
