ABOUT:
Mom grew up in a small town in Nevada about thirty minutes from Lake Tahoe. She moved to St. Louis for college and ended up staying longer than expected for her medical school and residency training, and it was a good thing she did, because it was during residency that she met Dad, a St. Louis native, who turned out to be her forever person.
Over the years, their story has been one of adventure - including a move to Chicago, getting married and becoming parents, and now a final move to Nashville where Mom is starting a new job as a Gynecologic Surgeon and Dad continues his role as Executive of a Healthcare Company.
While they both have very busy careers, Mom and Dad do their best to stay active by getting outside for walks or time on fitness trails, exploring new restaurants, and traveling to new places. One of their favorite shared traditions is their ongoing quest to visit every national park together, a goal that has become a meaningful part of their life as a family.
Together the couple has 1 child, (G1), who is fourteen months old and who is best described as equal parts of sweet and spunky, with a personality that has really blossomed over the past few months. Mom and Dad say her current favorite things to do are dancing to music, making her own ‘music’ with any nearby objects, exploring during playtime, and sharing food with her very patient furry sister, Daisy. (G1) is working on walking, loves to eat, and seems generally fearless. (G1) is home full time.
This busy family is one that values routine. They try their best to keep both themselves and (G1) on a schedule so that things are predictable and move along as smoothly as possible. Mom is a big believer that environments can impact mindset and mood, so she likes to keep her home as tidy and organized as you can with a busy little one.
They consider their role as parents to be one of encouragement – there to support their daughter as she tries new things, even if they are difficult, recognize her big feelings, and to help her grow into a confident and independent young lady.
Role within their home
When envisioning a caregiver for their sweet baby girl, Mom and Dad hope to find a nanny who will be an extension of themselves as parents, so that they can both focus on work during the day and come home to a healthy, happy little one. They plan to expand our family in the upcoming years, so a nanny with a long term mindset is preferred. Overall, they hope to find someone who is reliable and honest, who is able to communicate and collaborate with them, and someone who can take initiative.
Also, because Driving will be a part of the job description soon, a nanny who is experienced and comfortable driving minors, and who has a clean driving record, is a must.
Family does require candidates to have a current Tdap and annual Flu Shot.
Overview of nanny's typical work day:
7 am: Nanny arrives
Daily activities include caring for (G1) – feeding, diapering, and lots pf playtime, both inside and outdoors, and eventually activities outside of the home when (G1) goes down to 1 nap.
During Naptime, the family would like a nanny to help with (G1)’s laundry, keeping her play area and the kitchen tidy, and light meal prep.
End of Day: 5 pm

· Family would like a nanny that can commit to at least a year of employment. If a candidate is looking for a long term placement, please know this family plans to have a nanny in place for the next several years.
The nanny’s work week will mirror Mom’s work schedule:
~40 hours per week
Between the hours of 7 am – 5pm
Monday through Friday
*Nanny will have 2 weeks notice of her schedule
