Overview: Playful and Engaging Nanny needed for Infant and 4 Year Old Twins in Green Hills.

About: Mom has called Nashville home for nearly twenty years, a place she chose after a childhood spent moving from coast to coast with her father’s Navy career. After so much movement growing up, she’s loved putting down roots here and building a life grounded in community and creativity. She is an attorney and has been practicing civil litigation for the past eight years, balancing the intensity of her work with a creative outlet she treasures — shooting film of her children and their adventures.
Dad is a Nashville native through and through, with the exception of seasons spent in New York and across France. He is a musician and producer, playing in a country band with his sister — a rhythm their littles love dancing along to at shows. Add to that, in 2021, he launched a directtoconsumer cold brew coffee delivery service that has since expanded into supplying many Nashville restaurants, bakeries, and butcher shops - a job that keeps him busy, but is flexible to give him time for activities with his twins as well!
Together, Mom and Dad have built a home filled with movement, art, and exploration. They love to travel and have taken the twins on several ambitious crosscountry RV camping trips. They also enjoy exploring Middle Tennessee’s lakes and rivers. Their home is always filled with music, creativity, and the kind of imaginative energy they hope to pass on to their children.
Mom and Dad have three children — (G4) and (B4), their boygirl twins who will turn four in July, and (BNB), who is four months old. The twins are treasures: imaginative, articulate, affectionate, and so intelligent. They love music, reading books, outdoor activities, and Star Wars (at the moment). They share a deep bond with each other and an equally tender love for their baby brother. The twins are home full time.
(BNB) is a blessing of a baby after having twins — easygoing, observant, and deeply connected to his people. He loves intense eye contact, adorable babbling, watching Dad play guitar, and snuggling. He eats well, sleeps well at night, and has recently surprised everyone with how easily he can put himself to sleep for naps. (BNB) is also home full time.
The family also has one older dog, Hatchet, who is sweet, wellbehaved, and mostly naps throughout the day.
Mom and Dad describe their family as adventurous, creative, and happiest when they’re exploring together. The twins thrive with a clear schedule and routine, and now that (BNB) is a little older, Mom is hoping to begin gently introducing a predictable nap rhythm for him as well. Their home is full of art, comfortable, and intentionally kept tidy, and they’ve been teaching the twins to clean up after themselves and take pride in caring for their space.
Their parenting philosophy centers on giving their children a tactile, imaginative childhood. They don’t own a TV and choose not to use screens with their littles. Instead, their days are filled with music, arts and crafts, imaginative play, puzzles and games, reading, and outdoor adventures. The twins are used to getting out of the house most days to explore, and Mom and Dad hope to return to that rhythm once (BNB)’s naps become more predictable.
They live in a small neighborhood on a culdesac with wonderful neighbors and a beautiful creek — complete with ducks — just across the street. It’s a setting that mirrors their values: connection, curiosity, creativity, and a childhood rooted in real experiences.
The Family’s Ideal Candidate is:
A Calm, Grounding Presence - Mom and Dad are looking for someone who brings steadiness into their home — a nanny who can meet big feelings, busy days, and three little personalities with calm, confidence, and grounding energy.
Playful and Engaged – Mom and Dad value a nanny who is willing to truly play with their children — someone who enjoys planning activities, getting creative, and joining in their imaginative world with curiosity and enthusiasm.
Consistent with Schedules and Routines - The twins thrive with structure, and (BNB) is just beginning to settle into a predictable rhythm. Their ideal nanny is someone who can help maintain routines, support naps, and keep the day flowing smoothly.
Loves Travel and the Arts - Because music, creativity, and exploration are central to this family, they hope to find a nanny who shares those interests — someone who appreciates the arts and enjoys travel, and who can help instill those values in their children.
Trustworthy, Dependable, and Communicative Above all, Mom and Dad want a nanny with a strong work ethic, excellent communication, and a sense of partnership. They envision their nanny as a true member of the family — someone they can plan with, strategize with, and rely on as their children grow.
And because Driving has the potential to be part of a nanny’s weekly routine down the road, candidates who are experienced and comfortable driving minors, and who have a clean driving record, are a must.

Family asks that candidates have had a TDap within the last 5 years. Family does not require candidates to have received the Covid Vaccine, or Flu Shot.

They hope to build a longterm relationship with a nanny who brings experience, insight, and warmth, and who may eventually join them on family vacations. The role is primarily childcarefocused, with only light housekeeping related to the children.
