Overview: Calm and easy going nanny needed for infant in East

About: Mom and Dad’s story began in North Carolina, where they met in 2018 through a dating app and to their surprise, things quickly fell into place from there. Now, after a few whirlwind years marked by cross‑country moves, career shifts, a wedding, and the joy of welcoming their newborn son, they are excited to be setting into Nashville and putting down roots here.

For their careers, Mom works remotely in nonprofit fundraising, and Dad works in warehouse management for a national distribution company. In their free time, you can usually find them cheering on their respective sports teams (and getting a little competitive about it), trying new restaurants around the city, or enjoying time at home with their growing family.

(BNB) arrived in January and he has already brought a bright, joyful energy into their home. They describe him as a happy baby with a big, easy smile, and a personality that feels unmistakably his own, even at this very young age. They say these early months have been full of those small, everyday changes that feel huge when you are paying close attention, and it has been such a joy to watch him grow and discover the world around him.

Also in the home is their original rescue, Fletcher, the family’s now 7 year old Australian Shepard, and Rye, their 1 year old Chow Chow, who take their roles as big brothers very seriously, and are already forming sweet bonds with the new baby in the house.

Mom and Dad best describe their family as warm, loving, and lighthearted, with a sense of humor that helps them navigate the everyday chaos (and joy) of life with a baby and two dogs. As they shared, they try not to take themselves too seriously, and really value finding laughter in the small moments.

Their parenting style is relaxed and calm, centered around creating a supportive environment where their little one can feel secure. They focus on simple, consistent routines — especially around sleep, feeding, and daily rhythms — while staying flexible and adjusting when life doesn’t go according to plan. With a baby, they know that things shift quickly, and they aim to meet those changes with steadiness and ease.

 The family's ideal candidate is:

The family’s ideal candidate is punctual, organized, and reliable, with a calm, steady presence they can count on every day. Someone who has extensive infant experience, and who is confident supporting their little one through his early developmental stages.

They say a nanny with a sense of humor is a big plus, and prefer someone who is flexible to roll with the unpredictable moments that come with caring for a baby, and bring a lighthearted energy to the day. Also, someone who is comfortable around dogs, even though pet care won’t be part of the daily responsibilities.

Overall, they envision their nanny as a trusted partner in their son’s care and development — someone who will help maintain his routines, support his growth and learning, and be a consistent, nurturing presence in his daily life.
Mom and Dad prefer candidates who have a current TDap.
