Overview: Fun, Engaging and Playful nanny needed for family of four near Temple Hills.
About: Mom is a true Nashville “Unicorn,” born and raised in Music City, and Dad is originally from central Pennsylvania. They met early in their careers while working in the same industry and, after spending a few years living outside Tennessee, ultimately chose to return to Nashville to put down roots. They moved back in 2017 and feel grateful to be raising their family in a place that feels like home.
Today, Mom works in healthcare operations at a growth‑stage startup, and Dad is an attorney. Both commute downtown most days, so between work, occasional business travel, and their children’s schedules, weekdays tend to move quickly. In their spare time, they love being active and outdoors. Dad especially enjoys time in nature and is an avid hunter and fisherman. The family owns property on Center Hill Lake and often slips away on weekends to enjoy a slower, more peaceful rhythm together.
They also enjoy spending time with extended family (that live locally), and with their friends who are in a similar season of life. Their faith is an important foundation of their home, and they attend a Presbyterian church in the area. Recently, they moved to their “forever home” in Franklin — a walkable, friendly neighborhood with a large backyard where their children can play and grow.
Mom and Dad have two little ones whom they adore.
Their oldest, (G2.5), is a bright, happy, inquisitive little girl who absolutely loves being a big sister. Her parents often joke that she could probably take care of her younger brother if she needed to — she’s that confident and nurturing. She loves to play games, read books, care for her dolls, and explore outside, and she thrives with gentle structure and opportunities for imaginative play. Her weekly routine includes year‑round daycare on Tuesdays and Thursdays and a traditional preschool program Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
Her little brother, B7mos) is a sweet, easygoing soul who loves to laugh and happily goes with the flow of his busy family and active older sister. He’s wonderfully expressive and very easy to “read,” making it clear when he’s tired, hungry, or ready for a change of pace. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, he spends the day with his grandmother just ten minutes away — a routine they both adore and one that adds a lovely layer of connection to his week. He’s content, curious, and quickly growing into his own little rhythm, and Mom and Dad know he’ll be on the move before long. (B7mos) will be home on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Also in the home is Boone, the family’s gentle 6‑year‑old boxer mix. Boone mostly keeps to himself throughout the day and is wonderfully low‑maintenance, though he’s always happy to appear at mealtime in hopes of a snack. He takes his role as protector of the house quite seriously and will reliably alert you if an Amazon driver is at the door, but otherwise he’s an easy, friendly presence in the home.
Mom and Dad describe their family as one that places a high value on trust, reliability, and open communication — not only with the individuals who support their family, but also within their own home. They are intentional about teaching their children how to express their needs respectfully, show kindness and consideration for others, and how to navigate big emotions in healthy ways.
They believe deeply in creating a loving, supportive environment while also encouraging independence and resilience as their children grow. Mom and Dad say it’s important to not ‘steal the struggle’ when their children face challenges, and their goal is to find a nanny that will reinforce these values, and will help their little ones feel secure, confident, and understood.
Above all, they want their children to experience the wonder of the world around them, cherish the people in their lives, and have plenty of fun along the way.
The family’s ideal candidate is:
Trusting and Reliable: Someone who brings steadiness, consistency, and dependability to the home, and who the parents feel fully confident partnering with day to day.
Caring and Nurturing: A warm presence who genuinely enjoys supporting little ones, meeting them where they are developmentally, and helping them feel secure and understood.
Communicative and Collaborative: A nanny who values open dialogue, works as a true teammate with the parents, and keeps them informed throughout the day.
Proactive with photos and updates: Someone who enjoys sharing quick snapshots and notes about the children’s day, helping Mom and Dad feel connected even when they’re away.
Fun, Engaging, and Playful: Someone who brings joy, creativity, and energy into the children’s routines, and who enjoys exploring, reading, playing, and being outdoors with them.
And because Driving has the potential to be part of a nanny’s weekly routine, candidates who are experienced and comfortable driving minors, and who have a clean driving record, is a must.
Overview of a nanny’s Typical Day:
Nanny Arrives: 8:00 AM
A typical day will include caring for (B7mos) and following his daily routine, including breakfast, bottles, meals, naps, and engaged play.
During naptime, the family would like a nanny to assist with light household tasks such as children’s laundry, children’s dishes, simple meal prep, and general tidying at the end of the day. The nanny will wrap up with a brief handoff and recap when Mom or Dad arrives home around 5:00 PM.
End of Day: 5:00 PM
While this role will primarily focus on (B7mos), their nanny will also spend time with (G2.5) on occasion — especially during the summer months when her preschool is closed and on school holidays or breaks.
She is used to daycare, preschool, and babysitters, and transitions easily between caregivers and environments.
