Overview: Experienced, Loving and Flexible Nanny needed for Infant in Belle Meade.
About: Mom and Dad are both Nashville natives who have known each other since high school. As happens at that time of life, they both enrolled in college (Mom at Vandy and Dad at SMU) and spent the next 4 years pursuing their undergraduate degrees. After graduation, Mom’s adventurous spirit took her to Spain where she taught English for a year, and Dad returned to Nashville to begin his career in Sales. It was a mutual friend who was responsible for reconnecting them when Mom returned home from abroad, and it didn’t take long before they starting making plans to spend the rest of their lives together.
As for their careers, Mom is an Attorney who works from home most days, and Dad continues to work in Sales. When not working, this sweet couple enjoys walks in the neighborhood, spending time with friends and family, and going to as many Titans home games as they can each season.
In the Fall of last year, they welcomed their first child (B5mos), and they couldn’t be happier. They have loved watching him grow and develop, and say he is generally a very calm baby with a happy disposition. He’s been a good sleeper so far (knock on wood!) and he is already settling in nicely to a regular daily schedule. His current favorite activities are reading books, going on walks, and playing in his bouncy chair, and he is starting to appreciate tummy time now that he is very close to rolling over! (B5mos) will be home full time until August, when he will then go to Preschool for most of the day on Tuesdays and Thursdays but still be home for full days on Monday, Wednesday, Fridays.
Also in the home are the couple’s 2 Labrador Retrievers who are very sweet and a big part of their family. The are very low maintenance, spending much of their time indoors, and are sure to befriend a nanny in no time at all.
Mom and Dad consider themselves to be a friendly and fun family that loves to laugh. They tend to keep their little guy on a schedule, but understand that life happens sometimes, and don’t worry too much on the days when flexibility is needed.
The family's ideal candidate is:
Punctual/Reliable: Someone who Mom and Dad can count on being there day-to-day and who will communicate proactively/in advance if something comes up.
Warm: Someone nurturing by nature, with a loving and kind personality.
Experienced: Someone who has experience with and understands infant development, can read baby cues, and help support feeding, play, and transitions.
Responsible: Someone confident in managing daily routines and who will maintain communication with Mom and Dad.
Safe: Someone who will prioritize the safety and wellbeing of their son at all times.
Flexible: Someone open to supporting the household in a Family Assistant Role, and on occasion swapping daytime hours for date night coverage or for a Titan’s Game on Sundays.
And because Driving will be part of a nanny’s job description, candidates who are experienced and comfortable driving minors, are a must.
The does not require candidates to have received the Covid vaccine. They do require candidates to have a current Flu Shot and TDap.

Overview of nanny's typical work day:
Nanny arrives: 8:30 am
Nanny’s day will consist of full care for (B5mos). This includes following his feeding and napping schedule, diaper changes, and entertaining him during wake windows by taking him outside for a stroller walk, or to the park or for Library Storytime.
During the baby’s naps, the family would like help with light housekeeping tasks including the baby’s laundry, baby’s dishes and keeping his nursery stocked and tidy.
Starting in August, (B5mos) will start preschool at Woodmont Christian on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Nanny will get him ready for school and drop him off before school starts at 9:30am and then return to the family home and pivot to a Family Assistant Role.
Family Assistant Responsibilities can include: Running errands, grocery shopping, light laundry, meeting repair men, organization, and gift wrapping.
Nanny will then drive to pick up (B5mos) from preschool 2:30pm.
4:30 pm: End of Day
