Overview: Flexible and Proactive Nanny needed for Family of 5 in East.

Mom and Dad are a true Nashville love story. Not only were they both born and raised here, they attended the same high school, and after moving away briefly for their studies, decided to return to their home city and raise a family. For their careers, Mom is an Emergency Veterinarian who works very long shifts on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. Dad is a Warehouse Manager who works primarily out of the home. When not working, they enjoy spending as much time with their boys as possible, while also trying to get in a little exercise and time with friends.

Together the couple has 3 boys.

Their oldest, (B4), is growing into his own little personality. He loves going to preschool and making art of all kinds. Mom and Dad say he is a very good big brother, with a kind and gentle heart.

Next in line is (B2), who like many little brothers, tries to copy what his big brother says and does, both the good and the bad. (B2) is energetic and funny, and has a warm and outgoing personality.

Rounding out the trio, is the couple’s newest addition (BNB), who arrived mid-June and is the sweetest baby ever. He loves to smile and coo and seems to have an easy-going nature.

All three boys attend daycare/preschool full time.

Also in the home is the family’s medium sized rescue pup Dee, and his feline sidekick, Lou.

Mom and Dad both have demanding careers that require attention both weekdays and weekday evenings, and also Saturdays. It is for this reason that they are looking for a dedicated nanny that can lend an extra pair of hands most evenings and 2 Saturdays a month.

With three children ages 4 and under, structure and routine are very important to Mom and Dad, especially the importance of good planning so things flow smoothly. They encourage their boys to think for themselves, while applying consequences for bad behaviors.

 The family's ideal candidate is:

Organized, self-motivated, patient, and engaging. The family would like a nanny who brings a sense of calm as she helps keep their evening routine running smoothly. Someone who will learn the family’s routine, and then have confidence in her skills to manage the day without direction.

Family prefers but does not require candidates to have received the Covid Vaccine or Flu Shot. Family does require candidates to have an up to date Tdap.

Overview of nanny's typical work day during the week:

Nanny arrives: 4 or 5 pm
Weekdays require a team effort, and nanny will partner with either Mom or Dad (whichever parent is home) to make sure all 3 children have their needs met.
If Nanny is providing care for (B3mos) her primary focus will be getting him ready for bed. Responsibilities will include changing out of daytime clothes, a light bath, and then bottle and rocking him to sleep before putting him to bed.
If Nanny is providing care for the older boys, she will get them ready for dinner, organize and put away their school items, and then feed them dinner. After dinner nanny will supervise bath time, help the boys brush their teeth, and make sure they potty before getting them into bed, and reading to them before they fall asleep. Once the boys are asleep, general tidying is appreciated to make sure all things are in place for the start of the next day.
On days where less childcare is needed, the family would like a nanny who could lend a hand with light meal prep, tidying and organization.
End of Day: 8or 9pm

On Saturdays, Dad will be home, so nanny will rarely be responsible for all 3 children. Saturdays will consist of a team effort, giving Dad some one on one time with one or more of the older boys, while nanny keeps the baby on his schedule, or vice versa. With extended family in the area, Dad often takes the boys to their grandparents for a visit on Saturdays. He would like a nanny that is open to going along and offering an extra pair of hands as well.
Start time: 8 or 8:30 am
End time: Between 4 and 8 pm (depending on how many hours a nanny would like)
