Overview: Loving and Flexible Full Time Nanny needed for Family of Four in Belle Meade.

About: Mom is originally from Louisville and Dad grew up just outside Atlanta, and it was here that this sweet couple made their first acquaintance. Their introduction was set to be part of a small mix of singles, but when Dad was unable to attend, the event coordinators took matters into their own hands, approaching Mom privately on his behalf, and good thing they did, because it turns out he was her person!

The couple married in 2020, and eventually made their way to Nashville - a move that was a sort of a homecoming for Mom as a Vanderbilt Alum - and now, years later, are deeply settled in the community.

For their careers, Mom is a nurse practitioner in the CCU at a large hospital, who works (4) long shifts per month. Dad serves as the Director of Marketing for a local car dealership group, a position that is both demanding and dynamic, and has him out of the home most days.

When they’re not working, both Mom and Dad gravitate toward being outdoors — she loves yoga, Pilates, gardening, and long walks, while he enjoys exploring new restaurants around town and getting outside whenever he can. They both love to travel, though that part of life has naturally slowed with two young children. Home for them is warm, lively, and centered around simple joys, shared meals, and time together.

Their oldest, (G3.5), is a bright, spirited little girl who brings so much life into their home. She is endlessly curious, full of questions, and carries the kind of energy that makes each day feel joyful and busy in the best way. She loves music, being outdoors, and could happily swing for hours if someone lets her. This year she stepped into her role as big sister and Mom and Dad say she is gentle, attentive, and genuinely adores her baby brother. (G3.5) will be in some camps over the summer, and home full time for much of August until she returns to preschool 5 days a week for the fall.

Their youngest, (BNB), is a calm, easygoing baby with a sweet and content demeanor. Even at just a few weeks old, his parents can already see how relaxed and observant he is. He began sleeping through the night early, loves being held, and is just starting to share those wide, gummy smiles that light up the room. He is a cozy, snuggly little one with all the soft baby rolls to prove it. (BNB) is home full time.

Mom and Dad say they are an easy going family that genuinely enjoys spending time together. Their days follow a general rhythm, but they’re not overly rigid — they prefer to make space for the things their children love, whether that’s time outdoors, imaginative play, or simply following the natural flow of the day. Structure is present, but it’s gentle, and they’re comfortable adjusting when life calls for it.

Their parenting style centers around encouragement: giving their children space to explore, ask questions, and take the lead in age-appropriate ways. Their approach to discipline is calm and thoughtful: focusing on correction, clear expectations, and taking advantage of teaching moments.

Faith is also a meaningful part of their family life. As members of a local Episcopal church, they strive to instill values of kindness, good manners, and loving others well. Their hope is to raise children who feel secure, respected, and encouraged to grow into thoughtful, compassionate people.

With Mom’s maternity leave coming to a close soon, the family is looking for a full time Nanny/Family Assistant to help balance the demands of 2 small children with Mom and Dad’s unconventional work schedules.

The family’s ideal candidate is:

Kind and Loving: Someone who will love their children and is invested in their growth and development.

Flexible: Someone who can gracefully pivot based on the needs of the day, and is comfortable in the role of both Nanny and Family Assistant. Also, because Mom may also be in the home some days, the family would like a nanny who is comfortable working alongside (and with) her on occasion.

Organized: Someone who likes Organization, especially as it pertains to the children and their belongings. Mom would be very pleased to find a nanny who will help make sure things are reset and back in place each day.

.Also, as there will be Driving involved, a nanny who is experienced and comfortable driving minors, and who has a clean driving record, is a must.

Family does not require candidates to have received the Covid Vaccine, Tdap or Flu Shot.
