Overview: Dependable and Loving Nanny/Family Assistant needed for Family of Four in Brentwood
About: Mom and Dad first met during their medical training at Vanderbilt, a season marked by long hours, shared purpose, and a deep respect for one another’s dedication.
Flash forward to today, and both parents are busy surgeons with demanding schedules, who work out of the home full time.
Together, the couple has 2 lovely and vibrant daughters, who fill their home with curiosity, movement and laughter.
Their oldest, (G8), is a bright, witty, and wonderfully inquisitive young lady. She loves reading, gymnastics, dancing, telling jokes, and listening to music. She has a natural spark and thrives in environments with engaging conversation and gentle encouragement.
Their youngest, (G6) brings a joyful, silly energy to the family. She loves reading, gymnastics, swimming, and playing games. She shines when she feels connected and supported, and she responds beautifully in an enthusiastic, yet guided atmosphere.
Mom and Dad describe themselves as a fun‑loving, engaged family who want their daughters to feel supported, confident, and deeply cared for. Their goal is to give the girls everything they need to be successful and happy, while balancing freedom with the kind of structure that helps children feel grounded. They value organization, clear routines, and a home environment where the girls can explore their interests and grow with confidence.
This family has had the same nanny for the last several years, but sadly, her time is coming to an end soon, and they are now looking for a new caregiver that will help manage the ins and outs of the girl’s daily routines.
The Family’s ideal candidate is:
Reliable and Punctual: Someone who will be at work on time and also attentive to the girl’s schedules.
Team Player: Mom and Dad are proactive in maintaining and recording the girls schedule of activities, and would like someone who can lead from there.
Flexible: Due to Mom and Dad’s long work hours, a nanny will be needed daily for school drop off, and will also need to be able to be flexible to stay as late as 6pm if needed on occasion. The family would also like a nanny who is available to work full days when school is closed/school holidays.
Experienced: Someone who has experience and is comfortable supporting a family as both a Nanny and a Family Assistant to help manage the day-to-day needs of the household.
Active: The family has a pool and the girls like to go on outings during the summer, so caregivers who are active, enjoy planning activities, and like to be outside are preferred.
Experienced Driver: Because driving can be a regular part of their nanny’s day, caregivers who are experienced and comfortable driving minors, and who have a clean driving record, is a must.
The family prefers, but does not require, candidates to have a current TDap, Flu Shot or Covid vaccine.
Overview of nanny's typical work day:
7 AM – NANNY ARRIVES
7 AM – 8:30 AM The beginning of the shift will be Nanny facing and will focus on getting the girls up and ready for school and then driving them to school and dropping them off.
Depending on the day, there may be a few hours (2) needed for nanny to shift to FAMILY ASSISTANT role. This role can include:
Girl’s laundry
Organizing Girl’s rooms and play areas
Tidying the kitchen
Grocery Shopping
Household Errands
Meeting Repairmen
Meal Plannin
3:30 PM - FA will transition back to Nanny Role, which will include Afterschool Pick Up, driving the girls to after school activities when needed, or returning home, getting them a snack, and supervising their schoolwork until Dad gets home.
5:00 PM -End of Day
**Nanny will need to be able to cover a full days (7am – 5pm) if a child is home sick or for school closings. Summer schedule will include camps and will likely have hours/schedule similar to the school year

· This position requires a nanny to be able to commit to at least a year of employment. If you are looking for a long-term position, please take this position into consideration as they plan on employing a nanny for several years to come!
7 – 8:30 am; 3:30 – 5:00 pm are an Absolute Daily Need
Approximately (2) hours of additional help is needed daily for Family Assistant Role
Family will guarantee pay for 40 hours per week, even if nanny works less than 40 hours in a week.
