Overview: Full Time Nanny/Family Assistant needed for family of four in Nashville.
Mom is originally from Silver Spring, Maryland. After completing her MBA in Chicago, IL, her career in Technology took her all the way out to the Pacific Northwest city of Seattle, WA. Little did she know that there was more than a job waiting for her in Seattle, for only a few months after getting settled in, she met Dad at a local restaurant, and the two have been inseparable ever since.
Dad is originally from Ann Arbor Michigan, and like Mom, after completing his MBA, began his career in Technology at Microsoft in Seattle, WA.
For the past 10 years, they have loved the Pacific Northwest lifestyle – hiking, biking, skiing and weekends in nature – but Mom has accepted a new role at HCA in Nashville, so now they are moving their family of 4 across the country for their next adventure.
Together the couple has 2 boys.
Their oldest, (B7), is a bright, energetic, and social 7 year old. He loves sports (track, baseball, basketball, swimming), singing and dancing, solving puzzles and building things. He has recently discovered a love of coding and robotics, and thrives on staying active and engaged. (B7)’s sweet side is his true spirit of compassion for the people around him. And although the move to Nashville has (B7) a little sad and anxious about leaving behind his close friends and routines, he remains positive about the new friends and activities that potentially await him.
His little brother, (B5), is a bold, funny and determined little guy. He’s athletic and quite fearless on the monkey bars or soccer field. (B5) has big feelings, and has made great progress this past year learning how to articulate and regulate them. Although he is bold, he can come off as shy at first, until he gets to know you better. He is resilient, imaginative, full of joy, and is often the comedian of the family.
Both boys will be in school full time. (B7) will be at Percy Priest and (B5) will be at Primrose’s 12th South location.
Also in the home, is the family’s precious, 3 year old, Australian Labradoodle.
Mom and Dad describe theirs as a warm, active, and family-focused household. While their careers have been demanding, their priority has always been creating a home environment that feels joyful, supportive, and full of connection. They value spending time together outdoors, being engaged in their children’s activities, and making sure their boys feel loved, secure, and encouraged to explore their interests.
Their parenting style is intentional but balanced, providing structure and clear expectations, while also allowing room for creativity, curiosity and fun. They believe in teaching resilience, kindness and inclusivity, and respecting others while developing confidence and compassion within themselves. They emphasize values like honesty, responsibility, and empathy, while also encouraging them to be adventurous, playful, and confident in trying new things.
As parents, they try to model the behaviors they want to see in their boys – kindness, hard work, balance, and a having positive outlook even when life feels challenging – and see the role of a nanny as an extension of this approach; someone who helps reinforce their values, keeps the boys active and engaged, and who provides a calm, supportive balance in their daily lives.
As an Executive, Mom knows her work will be intense at times and may include travel. Because of this, they are looking for a Nanny/Family Assistant to partner with to keep their house running smoothly while also providing love and support for their boys.
The family's ideal candidate is:
Accountable: Someone who is reliable, trustworthy, and who can be counted on to be a steady, positive presence for their boys.
Proactive: Someone who is confident in taking initiative with both the boys, and with household needs.
Experienced: Someone who has prior experience supporting a dual-career household in both a Nanny and Family Assistant Role.
Compassionate: Someone who is caring and empathetic toward people of all backgrounds, and has an open-minded approach to the diverse world we live in.
Confident: Someone who is comfortable advocating for themselves, and communicating when they see a better way of doing something.
Experienced Driver: Because driving can be a regular part of their nanny’s day, caregivers who are experienced and comfortable driving minors, and who have a clean driving record, is a must.

Nanny arrives: 4 or 5 pm
Weekdays require a team effort, and nanny will partner with either Mom or Dad (whichever parent is home) to make sure all 3 children have their needs met.
If Nanny is providing care for (B3mos) her primary focus will be getting him ready for bed. Responsibilities will include changing out of daytime clothes, a light bath, and then bottle and rocking him to sleep before putting him to bed.
If Nanny is providing care for the older boys, she will get them ready for dinner, organize and put away their school items, and then feed them dinner. After dinner nanny will supervise bath time, help the boys brush their teeth, and make sure they potty before getting them into bed, and reading to them before they fall asleep. Once the boys are asleep, general tidying is appreciated to make sure all things are in place for the start of the next day.
On days where less childcare is needed, the family would like a nanny who could lend a hand with light meal prep, tidying and organization.
End of Day: 8or 9pm
