Overview: Loving and Attentive Nanny needed for Family of 5 in Nashville.

Originally from Texas, Mom made her way out to San Francisco after college to pursue her career in the Tech Industry. It was there in the Bay Area that she met her husband, a rare Nashville native, who also decided the West Coast was a great place to further his academic career. Ten years later, and after the birth of their first daughter, they decided to return to his hometown and grow their family.

Together the couple has 3 little girls.

Their two oldest, (G5) and (G3), are best friends. (G5) just started Kindergarten and Mom says she is 5 going on 15! She is incredibly mature, very artistic and empathetic, and has a new found love for Math. Her little sister, (G3), is the comedian of the home and keeps everyone on their toes. She loves soccer, dance, and as many snacks as she is allowed. (G5) is in school full time, and (G3) is in MDO from 9am – 2pm Monday through Friday.

The ‘baby’ of the family, (G6mos), is a laid back and happy little girl, who loves her big sisters, snuggling, and is already on her way to rolling over. (G6mos) was born with a rare digestive condition that led her to have an emergency surgery when she was 3 days old, and placed with an ileostomy bag that she will have until her next surgery when she is ~12 months old.
There are no plans for her to start daycare until she is much older.

Mom and Dad consider themselves to be a laid-back, low drama family, who values time outdoors and time together whenever they can get it. They encourage sharing, cleaning up after themselves, and entertainment that doesn’t always include a screen, and are raising their daughters to be confident, caring, curious, resilient, joyful and empathetic adults.

The family has employed the same nanny for over a year, and have had a wonderful relationship with her. She is taking on a new schedule with her academic career and will need less hours, so she will continue on in a part time basis, while they hire an additional full time nanny.

 The family's ideal candidate is:

Passionate About Young Children: Someone who will love and nurture their little girls and will be invested in their growth and development.

Attentive: Someone who is observant and pays attention to detail, and who can partner closely with Mom and Dad regarding any changes in their daughters’ behaviors. This will be especially important after their youngest has her next surgery, where there will be a number of post-operative care needs that will include diaper rash management, careful food management, and potentially administering medications.

Proactive and Independent: Someone who takes initiative with regard to the girls – whether that is finding new ideas for summer camps, or ordering art supplies for the house when they are running low – and feels empowered to make decisions as they arise.

Clean and Organized: Someone who will help keep the family ‘common areas’ tidy and will help build organization habits with their girls.

Available for Travel: There will likely be opportunities for travel throughout the year, and occasional overnights in town. The family will provide at least 6 weeks notice when these opportunities arise.

And because Driving will be needed, a nanny who is experienced and comfortable driving minors, and who has a clean driving record, is a must.

Family does NOT require, but does prefer candidates to have received the Covid Vaccine, Tdap and Flu Shot.

If you are a nanny who wants to be treated like a key partner and part of the family, this is the job for you!

Overview of nanny's typical work day:

Nanny arrives: 8am
With 3 children under the age of 5, each day may look a little different than the next. That being said, most days care will be primarily for (G6mos) as she will be home full time.

8am – 2/2:30 pm: Daily activities will include: bottle feeding, engaging during wake times with indoor play or time outside, putting her down for naps, and changing her diapers.
During Naptimes, the family would like a nanny to help with children’s laundry, and keeping the kitchen and common area tidy, and organization.

***Mom and Dad both work from home in designated office spaces that are away from the kid’s areas. They are working to have (G6mos) on a nap schedule to where she can sleep at home (monitored by either Mom or Dad) while Nanny takes care of school pick up with the 2 older girls.

2:30 - 7:00 pm: The afternoons will consist of picking up the older girls from school and daycare, and taking them to after school activities (most activities tend to be within a 5 – 15 minute drive from the family home), and then bringing them home and helping with dinner, bath and bedtime.

End of Day: 7pm
