ABOUT:
Some people just ‘click,’ and that is certainly the case for this Mom and Dad who met in Nashville over 20 years ago, and have since put down roots as a family and are raising their three wonderful children here.
With professional lives that keep them very busy, they make sure to prioritize the time they have together. They love hosting people in their home, taking their kids on adventures, and creating traditions and experiences together.
Their oldest, (G7) is bright, observant, imaginative, and deeply curious. She loves learning, remembers an incredible amount of what she sees and experiences, and enjoys being engaged in the world around her. (G7) goes to school full time.
Her little sister, (G4), is full of energy and personality. She is curious, independent, and loves being involved in whatever is happening around her. (G4) is also in school full time.
(B1.5) is the youngest and an active toddler who loves being outside, exploring, and being included in family life. (B1.5) is home full time.
Mom and Dad describe themselves as very involved parents who genuinely enjoy spending time with their children. They value warmth, consistency, curiosity, independence and having fun together. They also believe children thrive with structure and clear boundaries, and are raising their children to be independent, capable and kind people.
They are looking for a nanny who genuinely enjoys their children, gets down on the floor and plays with them, takes them outside, reads to them, encourages their interests and creates experiences with them. At the same time, they want someone comfortable saying no, maintaining boundaries and supporting the routines and expectations they have established as parents.
The family’s ideal candidate is:
WARM & ENGAGING - Someone who truly enjoys children and especially loves the toddler and preschool years, and genuinely enjoys being part of a busy, active household.
PROACTIVE –Someone who notices what needs to happen and handles it without waiting to be asked. This includes both the childcare moments and the many small details that keep a household with three young children running smoothly. They want someone who naturally thinks, “I’ve got it.”
RELIABLE & ORGANIZED - Successful mornings depend on things happening when they’re supposed to. The family needs someone who can walk in, immediately understand the flow, and help move three children through breakfast, getting dressed, backpacks, and school drop-offs with steadiness and efficiency.
ENERGETIC & ADAPTABLE - This is a busy, active household with three young children, school schedules, activities, and travel. They’re looking for someone who can move quickly, adjust when plans change, and stay calm and capable when the day takes a different direction.
MATURE WITH EXCELLENT JUDGMENT - They want someone they can trust — someone who makes good decisions, communicates openly, and knows when to handle something independently versus when to ask. This person understands the ecosystem around caring for children: laundry, rotating clothing, stocking supplies, errands, returns, packing, and all the small details that support family life.
Flexible & Travel-Friendly – The family travels regularly, and highly value candidates who have availability to travel with them. This would include domestic and international travel. These hours would be offered in addition to the standard weekly schedule.
Because driving will be part of the nanny’s daily routine, candidates should be experienced and comfortable driving children and have a clean driving record.
Daily Overview
The day begins early, supporting a busy household as three littles move through their morning routine. The nanny arrives at 7:00 AM and steps immediately into the flow — helping with breakfast, getting everyone dressed, gathering backpacks, and assisting with school drop-offs for the older two. This part of the day requires someone who is confident, organized, and able to see what needs to happen without being asked.
Once the girls are off to school, the rhythm shifts. The late morning is centered around engaged, one-on-one time with (B1.5): taking him outside, going to activities, reading, playing, and planning thoughtful, active mornings rather than simply supervising. He thrives with someone warm, energetic, and genuinely enthusiastic about the toddler stage.
Alongside childcare, the nanny supports the small, essential tasks that keep the children’s world running smoothly — children’s laundry, organizing their spaces, preparing simple meals, keeping supplies stocked, handling returns or errands, and helping with packing or unpacking as needed. This is child-focused household support, not deep cleaning, and the family values someone who naturally takes ownership of these details.
The day wraps with lunch for (B1.5) and a gentle transition into nap time. The nanny departs at 12:30 PM, leaving the home reset, organized, and ready for the afternoon.
