Overview: Laid back Brentwood couple are looking for a nanny for their two children, ages 5 and 3.
Mom is a Franklin native who graduated from O’Moore College of Design, and Dad is originally from Texas. They met in Nashville years ago, and the rest is history! For their careers, Mom is a Director for the TN Athletic Association and loves the work she does serving the student athletes across the state of TN. She works out of the home 5 days a week. Dad is currently transitioning to a new job and expects to be working outside of the home full time.
This laid-back family is very down to Earth. They value family time and feel very fortunate to have parents that live nearby who are able to spend quality time with their grandchildren. They are a Christian household and want their children to be surrounded by a community that reflects and reinforces those values. In their spare time, they enjoy getting out of the house as a family and going to the park, the zoo and Cheekwood. For their hobbies, Dad enjoys going to the gym, gardening and fishing. Mom loves to read (when she can find the time) go out to eat, and catch up on her favorite shows.
Their oldest, (B5), is sweet and loving, and extremely intelligent. He enjoys reading, pretending to build construction projects with blocks/tiles, and playing as much as he can. He has a great personality and is incredibly curious. (B5) is in school on MWF.
His baby sister, (G3), is a bubbly, loving and playful little girl, who has just started ballet. She loves being active and joining in on anything her big brother is doing! (G3) is also in school MWF.
Also in the home is the family’s 6 year old Black Lab, who is a great ‘big sister.’ She loves to play outside with both kiddos and when indoors, loves snuggling on the couch.
The family's ideal candidate is competent, trustworthy, loving and a good communicator. Someone who feels like a member of the family, and who will build a long-lasting relationship with their children. They are seeking a caregiver who is comfortable with structure and routine, but who can also be flexible when needed. The family values and encourages learning and growth through constructive activities and are hoping to find a nanny who values the same.
Overview of nanny's typical work day during the week:
Nanny arrives: 7:30 am (T,TH) and 1:30 pm (M,F)
Mornings on (T/TH) are spent finishing up breakfast and then getting ready for the day. Days may consist of appointed activities like Ballet and OT, playtime at home, or taking the kiddos for outings around town. Nanny will be responsible for getting the children lunch and then back home for naptime/quiet time.
During Quiet time/Naptime, the family would like a nanny to put the children’s dishes in the dishwasher, help with children’s laundry if needed, and general tidying of children’s play areas.
Afternoons will consist of free play until Mom or Dad get home.
End of Day: 5:30 pm
Family does not require candidates to have received the Covid vaccine. They strongly prefer, but do not 100% require candidates to have a flu shot and Tdap.

*It is important to note that the family is open to adding hours on Mondays and Fridays for candidates that are open to helping out with house/family related tasks. There may also be opportunities for additional hours during school holidays and summer break.
