ABOUT:
Mom and Dad met during their first year of medical school and quickly became inseparable. They were fortunate to ‘couplesmatch’ for their home programs in Rochester, New York, and welcomed both of their children during Residency. Flash forward to today, and Dad is on faculty at Vanderbilt as a Hand and Plastic Surgeon, and Mom is a Neurosurgeon focusing on Spinal Oncology.
Although medicine has required long stretches apart over the years, Mom and Dad have always made the most of the time they have together. They are thrilled to build their lives in Nashville with their two children and are hopeful that both sets of grandparents will eventually relocate. Outside of work, Mom and Dad enjoy tennis, hiking, cooking, music, golf, and gardening. Free time is often spent exploring Nashville with their littles, spending time with neighbors and friends, or visiting family.
Mom and Dad’s two children are the heart of their family.
Their son, (B5), is thoughtful, artistic, curious, and equally happy playing sports or exploring quieter interests. He will begin kindergarten in August.
Their daughter, (G3), is a lively, hilarious force of nature who loves to talk, sing, dance, and tackle the biggest slide at the park. (G3) is home full time.
They are best friends who hold hands, play together, and occasionally drive each other crazy — exactly as siblings should.
Also in the home ids the family’s sweet, elderly cat that generally keeps to himself.
Mom and Dad describe themselves as a warm, loud Italian family who loves being together and making everyday moments feel special. Their home is full of music, dancing in the kitchen, cooking meals with vegetables from the garden, reading together, and plenty of silliness.
Their parenting style is loving, direct, and consistent. Mom and Dad take their children’s feelings seriously while also believing in clear expectations, firm boundaries, and appropriate consequences. They address issues openly and want their children to feel comfortable talking to them, even when conversations are difficult. They encourage independence, accountability, and respect while ensuring their littles always feel secure and supported.
Mom and Dad envision their nanny as a trusted extension of their parenting and a valued part of their family. Their nanny will provide caring, engaged care; create fun and meaningful experiences; reinforce expectations; and help the household run smoothly. They hope for someone who will dance in the kitchen, read on the couch, explore outside, and be silly with their children — while also bringing consistency, good judgment, and professionalism.

Overview of a Typical Day
A typical day begins with helping (B5) get to school for an 8 a.m. dropoff, depending on Mom and Dad’s availability. The day is then spent adventuring with (G3) through outings, classes, play, reading, and time outside.
Afternoons may include school pickup and taking both children to activities such as tball, swimming, ballet, or tennis. During quieter moments, or days when Mom is not working (about (1) day/week) the family would like a nanny to take on a more Family Assistant Role and help with children’s laundry, light household tidying, dinner and schoollunch preparation, restocking essentials, and noticing or communicating anything that needs attention. Evenings may include helping with baths, bedtime preparation, and tidying up after the day.
